It's so strange to go from rainy humid days to the sudden light chill of overcast autumn nights. And in only a matter of a few days, too, around here. Tyler is one of your most expressive characters even if his number of moods tend to be less than the average number of fingers on a hand. It's how you express those times that really show the scope of his personality, and the style really helps to set and sell the tone. Solid effort, Mel.

Characters can show a range of complexity even within the narrowed down scope of their most oft-seen personality traits. There's a reason, whether debatably merited, that they exhibit their emotions in the ways that they do. Getting to explore those layers that surface up from underneath during even the seemingly simplest of moments such as this one can truly reveal more than meets the eye and gives us as viewers the chance to better understand the character. It's almost like an art unto itself. Tyler here has interestingly enough become one of the first characters that hold that name to come to my mind, despite the commonality of the name. You're doing something right if a character sticks out enough in your train of thought when such a time arises.

Heh, lucky you! Looks like we're in for a long haul of cold weather just as usually seems to be this time of year. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts!

Sure thing, Mel. :]

Just telling it as I see it, is all!Β  It's a good sign when a creator such as yourself who's been around long enough to still maintain an artistic presence these days holds onto a character from their youth and allows them to grow up with them in different ways.Β  You and Tyler have come a long way, so be proud of the journey you've traveled together!

Hey, as long as you're confident, that's what helps make leaving feedback feel all that much more worthwhile. :]

He's my baby ;A; I wouldnt' let go of that for sure, I think there's a particular innocence to stuff you make when you're young, and if you take em on the journey it just reflects on how your own values have changed! its better than just droppin em and pretending it was never a thing, at least to me. I think it's all part of the artistic expression that is art <3Β

thanks a lot, seriously!

I feel the same way about the characters I've created over the years. Even if they haven't changed as much in appearance, they still are quite important to me in the way I've explored their individual personalities and backgrounds over the years. I think allowing that sense of growth to happen naturally makes the character feel that much more authentic, especially knowing that their evolution was affected by your own life's travels. Whether they're fan characters or purely originals, having a creative comraderie with them means you can enjoy some company along the way.

My pleasure!
