Description
After making all those popsicle icons and since I have a Muffin icon, I felt it was long overdue to finally make an icon of my beloved cat Snuggles. Sadly he passed away on November 10, 2015. He was 17 and a half and was a cancer survivor. The first time he developed cancer was in his right ear back in late 2012–early 2013. I'm not sure what was wrong with his ears but it was something he was born with. He developed cancer through the cartilage. Back in March 2013, he had surgery to remove the tumour and it was successful. He was cured. He also had chemotherapy treatments as a precaution but it looks like the cancer was caught in time and didn't spread to anywhere else in his body. He did really well to make it an almost another 3 years later. Sadly he developed a new different cancer. Lymphoma in his intestines, which he was diagnosed in spring 2015. He went through chemotherapy again but the treatments were unsuccessful to cure and combat the cancer, even though it was caught early. Chemotherapy simply doesn't always work even though I wish it had in his case. I do believe it at least extended his life by a few extra months by slowing the cancer down. Lymphoma is also a common cancer that cats get with or without the Feline Leukemia Virus. Thankfully none of our cats ever In the past, I had 3 cats pass away due to Lymphoma in a span of 1 year. One was 11 and the other two cats were 15 so my baby boy did really well to make it to 17. I'm glad that I have a lot of pictures of him the last few years of his life due to an iPhone I got for my birthday a few years ago. I still miss him but I do believe he is in a better place now up in heaven and with my former cat Muffin, who was my best friend. I miss her two. I'm glad that my life was blessed to have had both of them in my life.
