I live with my mom, and we just never needed internet at home until recently. Of course, we just moved, so we'll see if we get it back.
I like Jpop, I know not everyone does. Part of it, also, is that I'm a christian, and not many of my friends are. So I'm used to disagreeing with my best friends on fundamental beliefs. Compared to that, arguing with someone over the internet about something like music genres seems kind of ridiculous.

Oh you're those hardcore christians? Sorry, I`m not really sure what the right term is, please dont be offended(again...) You're other friends are of other religions? I have mostly catholic friends since I`m in a catholic school, I have a few freethinkers, some Bhuddists and few Muslims and Hindues. Although we dont really talk about religion, cos it can spark off a lot of debate and we normally want to avoid that. I admit it can be a bit ridiculous, like how I argue with my friends DC vs Marvel. A lot of them are Marvel, but I find it too bright and too kiddy. I grew up with DC too, since they kinda ruled the animation/cartoon sector, while Marvel aimed at adults with movies. And you just moved? Thats nice

AWWW why? Marvel, aside from the Xmen, doesnt really appeal to me. They've garnered a HUGE fanbase from their movies. If DC had taken the same steps as Marvel, imagine the wonders since they already rule the animated and cartoon areas. But what aspect of Dc creeps you out?

The psychological joker, Damian Wayne killing people with phone cords. 52 (the weekly series a few years back) included people getting cut open, mutilated, and cannibalism. Batman Earth 1 included a basement full of dead bodies. And my list goes on and on. Marvel can be scary, but not nearly as gory.
For me it's not so much about the movies or the cartoons.

I think its basically the New 52. Before the retcon the DC world wasnt that bad right? But for me, as much as I hate horror, the mature aspect of DC appeals to me. Thhe realsim of things and how brutal they are is striking. But dont take me for the Final Destination fan, cos I really dont like that show...
I could never get my hands on the comics, so I live vicariously through the TV and movie medium.

No. All my examples are pre-New 52. They had a series a few years ago called 52. I read a couple volumes and almost couldn't sleep that night.
Of course, my other love, besides superheroes, is Disney Princesses, so that should tell you something about my personality... I'm really not into dark and gritty.

Oh then youre in luck! I grew up with them, and to this day my favourite is Ariel! I think I can switch between the dark and colourful, but horror is a no go for me like I said before. The dark aspect of things brings a new dimension to a rather 2 dimensional story, I'd say.
