Description This is a picture of my main critter, Siamala. Until further notice, the species name is Cujo after the Stephen King dog, but I'm sure I'll think of something better someday.

This character is Siamala Adagio. She was born in the wild in Nepal where she lived until she was around 2 years old. She had a mate and three pups at the time of her capture, and all were killed by the human soldiers whose job it is to eradicate their species. The Cujos are a species created to surpass the dog in detection of foreign enemies. The hope was the American soldiers could send the super aggressive Cujo in mountain areas dangerous for a human, and the Cujo could be trained to kill and retrieve any human enemies hiding in the mountains. They proved difficult to train and extremely dangerous to civilians, so eventually the plan was abandoned. 200 years later, to the surprise and fear of the world, the Cujos that had been freed in the mountains and never recovered were not only flourishing, but they were starting to kill off native species. It was decided that American soldiers would be sent in to destroy the threat they created to the ecosystem. However, not all the Cujos were killed by the soldiers immediately. Disinterest and dissatisfaction in their job caused the soldiers to look for alternative methods of earning money. It became popular to place to super-aggressive cujos together to fight while the soldiers placed bets on the winners. Soon the sport began attracting attention and was quickly made illegal. But the games continued on in secret in some platoons, and became a vast market.
Siamala was captured and trained to fight in these matches. She proved to be tame towards humans and made an amazing fighter, so she was kept. The soldiers began keeping the animals they were sent to destroy in stables and abandoned schools where no one would find them, breeding the best fighters and becoming rich off their illegal games. Seven years later and Siamala is starting to get old. After years of unsuccessful breeding attempts, she was mated to the most bloodthirsty, mindless killing machine ever to stand in the rings. The result was two pups, of which she was allowed to keep one while the other was given to the owner of the father. Siamala must now raise her pup to not only fight, but to learn the laws of the ring. Above all, she must stop him from becoming his father so he might one day find freedom from the life of blood and gore. And her time is running out, for she is growing grey around the muzzle and becoming outdated as newer fighting styles and younger opponents are added to her world.

I like the way the creature is put together. It looks part goat, part dog, part kangaroo, and part horse. Very interesting.
