Description
The last of Abbie's commissions for book one! A storm at sea and a series of nasty accidents.I tried to go for a lightning-flash look, since a wild storm and bloody action in the dark is kind of hard to paint. I hope it came across.

Lovely picture, and despite the fact you maybe didn't quite captue the dark and brooding sotrm flash you were aiming for, what I do see in the lighting is more of a flash of sunshine through very dark clouds, especially those in the backdrop... when you get a storm approaching, or heavy rain, and the sun shines, the contrast is gorgeous, and you capture something of that here. You also have a really delicate touch with the colour on their bodies that's a treat to look at. makes me wanna yank out the watercolours right now! Lovely work.

This really _moves_ - foam and blood and wind and rain. As with so many of your pictures, you caught the feeling of what's happening, as well as the physical details.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I agree with those above... more dynamic. some really stark contrasts would probably help. You are very skilled with watercolors though.

Agreed with Yonako-Yamako... You need sharper shadows. You have the perfect lighting, but you need the darker contrast to crat a single light source... This pic is awesome though. Love the expressions and the composition.

I think a harsher shadow would help, but I like the action of the scene.
