Description Fanart for one of the darker moments of Metanoia. Mom, you probably don't want to go read this comic. You'd consider parts of it icky, though the point of it is the depths a person can return from to be redeemed and forgiven.

Wow. I'm not sure how I've missed this in the past. It's really, absolutely gorgeous. The fact that almost all of it is left white, except for the gun, gives it a kind of clean, bright feeling, again, with the exception of the gun. This is really striking (for Metanoia-readers, at least xD ) given the situation that you know both of them are in at this point: the complete darkness left in Jaime, the despair and madness, and likewise, the despair and defeat in Star's own mind. These feelings also seem well-portrayed in their expressions, but I especially love the way that they're counterpointed by the white and "cleanness" of the snow and the general brightness achieved by not shading anything.
I think I may be rambling at this point, but whatever the case, this will be going into my favorites. xD

jeeze.... I've seen this before, but I never ended up actually commenting on it.... I love how Jamie is semi-falling into Star... I thanking him, saying "oh! Is that...? Oh Star, I love you...' because he knows what Star's resolved to do, and knows that Star is fulfilling the one promise that he'd hoped he'd never have to keep - that, if Jamie asked, he would kill him. Jamie sees death as hope, which is the most tragic element of all. Star is drawn perfectly here - knowing what he has to do, and hating it, all twisted around, because he doesn't want to do it but he does because he knows that Jamie can't keep living in shadowed corners. It's absurd, but even as I'm writing this review for the picture, I'm crying, because it's an absolutely perfect reminder of the feelings in 'Dark Falls Early".

That scene.... I remember it; it was so, so heartbreaking....

'you're too calm. you're going to follow me, aren't you? Promise me - promise me you won't'.

Katchak!

Blood. Snow.

Brutality over beauty. Lots of money. No Jamie, no point.

Sniff.
