Yeah, it was very cute hopping around. I tried my best to help him, built a little house and put down some seed and water. Unfortunately this was the last time I saw him

Yeah it was sad, that is nature hey. I doubt many of them make it back to the nest, this one was nearly ready to fly, just a little too early
