Description Hidenori couldn't take it anymore. Everyday he saw her confidently stride into school wearing a boys' uniform, arm-in-arm with her best friends. Well, not always literally arm-in-arm, but still. It was just too much. The worst part was that her closest friend was HIM. Oh, how Hidenori hated HIM. Top of the class, popular, athletic, clever, mature, friendly, and more attractive than the other guys in the class, this guy was the ultimate competition. Gritting his teeth, Hidenori forced down his animosity as much as he could as she sat at the desk behind him. Her friend's seat was in the middle of the room, so at least they had to be apart during the lessons.

Hidenori smirked as he turned around to look at her. "Hey babe, how about a re-match after school? This time just you and me without the third wheel." He winked. Of course he would have loved to refer to HIM as a loser or a jerk or just about anything bad he could think of, but mocking a popular kid, a friend of hers no less, completely unprovoked would be kicking a hornet's nest, and while Hidenori wasn't the smartest kid in class, he was by no means an idiot.

She gave him a cold look. Hidenori had always taunted and teased her, but ever since the talent show he had become easily twice as obnoxious and even had the audacity to flirt with her. "Only if you want it to be my turn to kick your ass in front of everyone." She stated, her words dripping with poison.

He knew what she was referring to all too well. A few months ago, days after the talent show, he had said some nasty things to her concerning her choice to switch to a male uniform, but he had not expected her to stand up for herself. Her friend grabbed her by the arm and took her out of class, and as she closed the distance to the doorway, Hidenori called out to meet him after class to settle things.

She was completely ready to fight him on that day. He was amazed by that, she used to be so meek and easy to torment, but HE had made her change. That must be it. She readied herself for battle, but HE had insisted on fighting on her behalf. Of course Hidenori would be beaten by HIM. After just a few hits and failing to land a single one on HIM, the two of them walked off together like they always do, the wind dramatically swaying her long hair as she disappeared from his day into the sunset.

Snapping back to the present, he had to try again. "Oh come on, you really should try being with a real man, one who could make you see heaven." He said with a wink. "I'm really not interested." She stated flatly. "Aww, you worried I'll ruin your reputation? Nah, I'll be such a gentleman, I'll only tell my friends about it." Her glare intensified. Feeling bold, he reached out and tugged playfully at her shirt collar. She slapped his hand away and opened her mouth to tell him off, but unfortunately HE walked over, interrupting their interaction.

"Seriously man, leave her alone. This is getting old." HE had the nerve to say. "Then stop hogging her all to yourself, lover-boy!" Hidenori snarled. At this point everyone in class turned to stare directly at them. HE stared at him speechless as HIS face turned slightly pink. She stood up suddenly, shifting attention off of HIM. "I'm done with your bullcrap, Hidenori. Its bad enough when you give me a hard time, but I'm not going to stand for you being a jerk to my friend just because he came over to help me. I'm going to see about switching seats." With that, she grabbed HIS hand and led HIM out of the classroom, presumably to find the teacher. 'Well, looks like I'll have to find another time to talk to her' Hidenori thought to himself, feeling a bit defeated.

'Man, middle school is hard.'
