Description A render for 's  Back in Black - Part 11“Okay, this is super creepy.” Dubstep glanced nervously behind her. “Why is this place so empty?”Patriette turned a corner in the hall, her shield up and ready. “Because this isn’t the real Lakeside League Headquarters, remember?”“That’s what makes it creepy.” Patriette glanced into a side door. “The real HQ has working lights, at least.”Patriette sighed. As much as she hated to admit it, Dubstep had a point. The lights here in the hall flickered unevenly. Some were busted altogether, creating dark and shadowy patches. Many of the doorways to the left and right were shrouded in darkness. And ahead, floating eerily through the air, came the constant and distant sound of muffled screaming. “Sounds like she’s gagged,” Nightkiss said nervously. Her energy pistol was out and in her hands. “You think that’s Night Raven? I mean, Night Raven’s…personality? Oh, screw it, I have no idea what’s going on here.”“None of us do.” Patriette started forward. “But yeah, I think that’s her. Or at least our best chance of rescuing her.”“Or it’s a trap,” Dubstep said between her teeth. “Not trying to be a Negative Nelly or anything, but that seems like a definite possibility.”“I would listen to her.” The new voice, sultry and low, came from somewhere in the shadows of the hall ahead of them. “For such an empty-headed girl, she occasionally hits upon a kernel of wisdom.”All three heroines tensed and raised their weapons and their fists.“Dark Raven,” Patriette said in a low voice. Dark Raven strode out of the darkness ahead, materializing into shape in the sputtering hall light. She wore her crimson bodysuit, and her black domino mask was on her face once again. She put her hands on her voluptuous hips. “Last chance,” she said in a chilling tone. “This is my mind. You don’t belong here. Turn back before it’s too late.”Patriette gave a dogged smile. “You’re warning us now? I think you’re scared, Dark Raven. And this isn’t your mind. It’s Night Raven’s. Where is she?”“Dead,” Dark Raven said flatly. “Then what’s that?” Dubstep said. The muffled groans and cries were just audible, somewhere down the hallway and just out of sight.“My other victims,” Dark Raven taunted. “I’ve had about enough of this,” Nightkiss muttered. She raised her pistol, the energy capacitor whining as it charged.Dark Raven moved to the side, suddenly and swiftly. Nightkiss’s pistol sang out, the beam of energy cutting through empty space. Dark Raven was already gone, vanished through a side door. “Well at least our weapons actually work here,” Nightkiss said, examining her pistol with unexpected satisfaction.“I’m on her,” Dubstep shouted. She dashed forward, racing for the doorway.“Wait, Dubstep—” Patriette started to say. The younger heroine vanished through the doorway. “Come on,” Nighkiss said, chasing after her. “She’s going to need our help, even if—” She got to the doorway and stopped cold.“What’s wrong?” Patriette asked, a sinking feeling in her stomach. She ran over next to Nightkiss and glanced into the open doorway. “Where—?”The doorway opened into a small storage closet. Neither Dark Raven nor Dubstep were anywhere in sight.“They’re gone,” Nightkiss whispered. Her face was pale. “What do we do now?”Patriette hesitated for just a moment. “We go after them,” she said with more confidence then she felt.“Into a closet?” Nightkiss fingered her pistol.Patriette shrugged. “Unless you have a better idea?”Nightkiss opened her mouth, then closed it again. “Can’t say that I do.”“Alright,” Patriette said. “Here goes.” She moved into the storage closet. And vanished.Nightkiss swore under her breath. She glanced up and down the hall, then held her gun at the ready. “Here goes nothing,” she muttered. She stepped through the doorway.***Dubstep barely had time to register that she was stepping into a closet before she was through the door. Instead of the tight closet, a wide, open room stretched before her.She skidded to a halt on the slippery floor, her eyes darting all about. She whirled around, but the doorway just behind her didn’t show the hallway she had just come from, but a different hallway altogether. There was no sign of Nightkiss or Patriette.Dubstep could feel cold sweat forming on the back of her neck. She looked around her again. The floor underneath her was polished and slick. There was no furniture, no windows that she could see, but all the same this room seemed eerily familiar to her. It was dark and hard to see far, but Dubstep had the strangest notion that she had been here before.“Well, well,” came a familiar voice. “Just you and me now, honey.” Dubstep turned quickly and dropped into a fighting stance. Dark Raven appeared out of the darkness, her tall and stately form poised and ready for action. She crossed her arms under her swelling bust. “Where are we?” Dubstep asked, trying to keep the panic out of her voice. “Where are my friends? And where’s Night Raven?”Dark Raven clucked her tongue. “You don’t recognize this place? Maybe I can give you a little hint.” She snapped her fingers. The room exploded into light and life. Spirals appeared on the walls, colorful and chaotic. Strobe lights erupted from all directions, flashing in all different hues and patterns. It made Dubstep’s head hurt, and she winced from the visual assault. The more pressing concern, however, was the mechanical whirring noise that came from all sides. Large objects began sliding across the polished floor, spinning and whirling as they lurched across the floor. With a start, Dubstep realized where she was. It was an indoor bumper car rink, with about a dozen bumper cars jostling and crashing into each other. No, she suddenly realized. It wasn’t just a bumper car rink. It was the bumper car rink, the one where she had been trapped and gassed into unconsciousness at the abandoned amusement park in Lakeside City, when she and Beta Team had been tracking down Dark Raven.Dark Raven appeared suddenly from the left, emerging out of the flashing strobe lights. She snapped a kick at Dubstep’s head.Caught off guard, Dubstep narrowly avoided the attack. She tripped back a few steps. A bumper car appeared out of the darkness, hurtling quickly on its path. It crashed into Dubstep’s legs. She fell across the front of it and slid off and onto the ground, her right shoulder slamming painfully onto the slickly polished floor.Dark Raven was on her again in a heartbeat, the heel of her boot coming down towards Dubstep’s head. Dubstep frantically rolled out of the way and sprang up into a crouch. Another bumper car made a violent turn and lurched crazily in her direction.Dubstep did a quick handspring out of the careening vehicle’s path, barely avoiding a collision. She collapsed on her side, gasping.Dreamworld or not, all these bumps and bruises felt real and painful. Dubstep could even taste blood in her mouth. She scrambled to her feet, dodging another moving bumper car as she did so. She took a step back.A slender arm grabbed Dubstep around her narrow waist. At the same moment a hissing mask was pressed over her face. The smell of sweet scented flowers filled Dubstep’s nostrils. “Breathe it and go to sleep,” Dark Raven said into the young heroine’s ear. She pulled the blonde woman close against her own body, fondling Dubstep’s perky breasts with a gloved hand.Dubstep smashed her elbow back into Dark Raven’s stomach. Dark Raven released her hold with a pained cry. The hissing mask loosened from Dubstep’s face.Dubstep staggered forward, coughing and sputtering. Her head felt light and cottony, her vision blurred and dizzy. All her muscles were suddenly weighed down and sluggish. She tried to turn, but almost fell down. Her hand flailed out in front of her, trying to balance her and also avoid the bumper cars that still swept mercilessly around her. “It’s bedtime, Dubstep.” Dark Raven’s taunting voice seemed to come from all directions at once. With all the movement and strobing lights and swirling spirals Dubstep had no idea where she was. “Just lie down now and rest.”Dubstep started to turn, but a bumper car came spinning out of nowhere. It slammed into her legs and knocked her flat onto her back on the floor. Panicked, Dubstep tried to get up with arms and legs that felt numb and uncoordinated.Dark Raven leapt on top of her, straddling the young heroine and pinning her arms with her knees. “Shhh,” she whispered, her face just above Dubstep’s. “You’ve fought so hard, honey. Time for a nap.”Dubstep tried to kick, tried to free her arms or twist out from under the villainess, but before she could do a thing the mask was pushed down over her face again. The cloying smell of flowers filled her lungs.Dubstep screamed into the mask, her legs kicking and thrashing. The bumper cars continued to race by, passing an arm’s length away but not hitting the two women. The strobe lights continued to flash endlessly and crazily.“Don’t fight it,” Dark Raven whispered. She ran a gloved hand over Dubstep’s face, then down to her firm breasts. “Everything’s all right. Just relax.”Dubstep felt her body becoming heavier and heavier, her brain clouding and her vision blurring. Her legs slowly stopped kicking, then twitched and just lay still. Her eyelids drooped down, and it became harder and harder to think. The hard floor underneath her suddenly felt warm and welcoming, like a richly soft mattress. The fondling of her ripe young breasts that had seemed so intrusive just a moment before suddenly felt so nice. Her hands dropped to the floor and she was unable to lift them.“That’s it, go to sleep,” Dark Raven crooned. She leaned down and kissed Dubstep on the cheek. “Time for all good little crimefighters to go nighty-night.”Dubstep felt more relaxed than she had ever been. One of her eyes was closed, and the other was barely open. The scent of flowers was so pleasant that she breathed in deeper and deeper, her body growing more and more limp as she did. All she wanted to do was to just drift off into a deep, happy sleep. So she did.***“Is that supposed to happen?” Meadowlark got up from the chair she had been sitting in. She came over to where Dubstep was standing. Nightkiss and Patriette were still on their feet, their dull and heavy gaze on the morphing blue glyphs in front of their faces. Dubstep, however, had her head slumped down onto her chest and her eyes were closed. She was snoring softly. A line of drool had formed on her chin. Dream Thief frowned. “No. Her mind is asleep.”Meadowlark looked over at the villain. “I thought her mind was already asleep?”Dream Thief shook his head. “Not like this. She has been rendered unconscious in the dream world.”Meadowlark straightened. “Can you snap her out of it?”Dream Thief sighed. “No. There’s nothing I can do from here.”“Are you in charge of this spell of not?” Meadowlark flexed her fists in anger. “There has to be something you can do, someway you can help.”“Unfortunately,” Dream Thief said in a low, calm voice, “these women are on their own. I warned all of you that there would be risk in this. Every mind has natural defenses, and a personality as violent and depraved as Dark Raven’s will not be easy to break.”Meadowlark stared at Dream Thief for a long moment, a look of agitation on her face. “I know what you’re thinking,” Dream Thief said with a mirthless smile. “You want to ask me to send you in there after them so that you can help, but you are also afraid to leave me alone out here with no one to watch me.”“Something like that,” Meadowlark growled. “It wouldn’t help,” Dream Thief said. “What these three have started, they have to finish on their own.” He gave Meadowlark a sidelong glance. “And if it makes you feel any better, if I had wanted to overpower you I would have done so already.”“Is that so?” Meadowlark sneered. She put one hand on a holstered pistol. “Well I think you’re all—”Dream Thief sighed and waved a hand.A pulsing purple glyph appeared in front of Meadowlark’s face. She went ramrod straight, her wide and blank eyes staring straight ahead. ,Dream Thief admired her beautiful, perfectly shaped body for a long moment. He reached over and squeezed her full, round breasts, then gave her firm ass a hard spank. The whole while Meadowlark stared straight ahead, a blank look on her mesmerized face. “You’re lucky I’m reformed,” Dream Thief said with a heavy sigh. He ran his hands down the woman’s hourglass hips. With a sly smile he slipped an exploratory hand down between her supple thighs. “Well, mostly reformed. Ah well. I had to get that out of my system, I suppose.” He turned away from the woman and gave a nonchalant wave of his hand. The purple glyph in front of Meadowlark’s face vanished. She blinked. “—talk and no action. So feel free to try something anytime you want, pervert.”Dream Thief raised both his hands with a weak smile. “I wouldn’t dream of it, Agent Meadowlark.”Meadowlark gave a triumphant grin and took her hand away from her holstered gun. “Yeah. Didn’t think so.”***Nightkiss almost ran into the back of Patriette. She stumbled to the side, her hands still clutching her gun. “Dubstep?” she gasped, looking around her.Patriette shook her head. Her shield was out in front of her, her face tense and alert. Nightkiss glanced behind her. Instead of the storage closet doorway, there was an open elevator door. She took a good look around her. They were standing in what appeared to be a long hallway. No one else was in sight. The sounds of muffled moans and screams sounded, almost imperceptible but still present.Nightkiss looked at the doors of the hall. “Do you think—?”Patriette nodded. She was already moving towards a door on the left. “Stay behind me.”Nightkiss followed, staring at her friend in surprise. “You know—?”“I’ve been here before,” Patriette said tersely. She tried the handle of the door, but it was locked. She took a quick step back. “Nightkiss?”Nightkiss grinned and cranked up the setting on her energy pistol. “Stand back.”Patriette covered her face with her shield. Nightkiss raised her weapon and fired. The beam punched through the handle of the door, leaving a smoking hole where the lock had been. Nightkiss blew the smoke off the barrel of her energy pistol. “Who needs lockpicks?”“Come on.” Patriette kicked the door the rest of the way open, then moved inside. Nightkiss followed after her. It was a loft apartment. Before them was a wide open space that had a combined kitchen and living room. Stairs led upward. High windows overlooked city buildings.Nightkiss stared out the windows. “It’s Lakeside City.”“Shh,” Patriette hushed. She held up a hand. “Listen.”The two women were silent a moment. The muffled yells and cries were louder now, coming from above them.Together the two women raced up the stairs. At the top was a bedroom, overlooking the open apartment below. And there on the bed, tied spread-eagled, gagged, and wearing nothing but panties and a bra, was Night Raven.
