A render for 's The Red Oktober Artjam,#redoktober The City of Jagiellonia has been occupied by the sinister communist forces of the neo-Soviet Spartakist League. Taking the entire metropolis under its control, the Spartakists have declared the ancient island city Wolne Miasto Ludowe Jagiellonia - the People's Free City of Jagiellonia.With the city's protector, Cracovia, captured, and Poland's security forces in disarray, Varsoviak, the Last Winged Hussar, has called in assistance from all over in the world, in the form of its mightiest superheroes and superheroines.Will an alliance of vigilantes, crimefighters and metahumans - along with the Polish army and Police – be enough to defeat the communist insurgents and free Jagiellonia from Spartakist rule?----------------------------------------The premise of this artjam is pretty simple – I don't think it's much of a spoiler to the 'main' story to say that the forces of good will be, at some point, going into battle with the sinister Spartakists and their allies. But that could take a variety of different forms, with any levels of success.The jam is a chance to show off what your character/s (and/or mine/others' with their permission) can do – plenty of opportunities for an action scene with them taking on the neo-Bolshevik baddies in whatever style suits them best. Whether it's kicking the stuffing out of the foe in a cool action scene, or succumbing to a bit of fun capture peril when an attempted incursion into the occupied city goes wrong (or both), there are lots of possibilities.Story-wise, you could say it's an incident from the final battle for the city, or it could be part of the ongoing skirmishing between Spartakist and Polish-Heroic Allied forces, with the liberators making occasioanl preparatory strikes to kidnap (or otherwise remove) communist personnel, freeing prisoners, sabotaging weapon caches, all sorts of options. If you're not sure if an idea would fit, just ask Do the enemy have to be Spartakists? No! Any person or group that you think would logically join in a far-left takeover of a major city is perfectly acceptable. Equally, feel free to come up with new Spartakist baddies, Dr Nowacka would definitely have more metahumans in her forces' ranks.
