Description

The Pax Mexicana (in Spanish Paz Mexicana or Paz Azteca) denotes the period of relative peace on the continent since the end of the Second American Civil War in 2099. This places Mexico in a military and diplomatic role comparable to that of the Roman Empire during the called Pax Romana hence the term. During this period there has been no direct armed conflict within the American continent and no weapons of mass destruction have been used. However, the Empire and its allies have been involved in international conflicts and wars with forces external to the American continent, such as the War in Oceania, the Urals conflict, and the disintegration of the African Union, while maintaining espionage. and covert operations inside and outside Earth space.
The term Pax Mexicana is used by both supporters and critics of the foreign policy of the Mexican Empire and as such this carries different connotations depending on the context.
Both during the Roman Pax and during the Mexican Peace the wars continued but it was also a time of prosperity for their civilization. It is important to note that during those periods and many other times of peace what is referred to is not complete peace.
From the end of the Hot War in 1991 until the Second American Civil War in 2085, the American Empire played the hegemonic role in the world, where the balance of powers was the main objective.
