Description
While human children fear the dark,
And bear cubs fear the trapper,
Pixy youth are most unwise-
To dare not fear the Snapper.

I really wanted to draw a plant monster for this one. Thinking up the different stages, armors, and minions for a plant got my imagination going. This creature devours fairies. As it grows, it grows leaves that mimic the wings of its victims. Its drool-like nectar is a delicious treat for hummingbirds and insects. All of the birds and bugs that flutter around the plant lead fairies into a false sense of security.

I drew almost everything on paper with a regular No. 2 pencil, and then did all of the colors digitally. Some effects, like the glowing on the wings and drool, were done on the computer as well.
