He has studied at the College of Winterhold and trained under his uncle in the Arcane.
His family has a long magical tradition.
He has studied the almost forgotten and made the pilgrimage to high hrothgar on his way out of Skyrim for the first time.
He is not the Dragonborn, so he only has a small repertoire.
He spends much of his time traveling, seeking artifacts, and contemplating the mysteries of Aetherius.
He is known to have had some frequent dealings with Hermaeus Mora.
