This is purely fanart that I did
Spent many, many days on it~
Reference:
Modeled, rigged, Lighted, and Rendered in MAYA 2014
Sculpted and Painted in ZBrush
Specs and Layers Put together in Photoshop CS6
He still needs the fur on his chest and particles to come out of his mouth/hands
But other than that he's pretty much done
Rigging is such a pain.....
EDIT: sorry if this inconvenienced anyone, but i changed the image real quick. 'cause i saw a few flaws in the last one, and it wasn't quite big enough.Β

It's both as well as very tedious
But well worth it once you complete it :]
And since i've rigged it (gave it bones and movement essentially) I can now move it around and animate it without having to redraw it

He's been the perfect project and he'd be the best example to show off that i could Model, rig, animate, and do dynamics.

And yes absolutely put him in your demoreel! he looks beautiful and I can tell you put so much hard work into him so you should show him off
And thank you for the compliments ;u; I wish I could comment more; really I appreciate everything people do for me!! I am actually moving cubicles at work next week but once I move, I'm going to decorate my cube walls with fanart. It'll be amazing.

I can just see some small little cubicle stuffed with large posters of your dragon fanart--all stapled and pinned to the walls with little dragon statues cluttered around the desk

It's a pretty good sized cube I suppose but it also depends on where the furniture is. I'm really particular about right angles and placement so it's more likely you'll see things in straight lines and all of my pictures tetris-ed onto the wall taking up the perfect amount of space xD
