Is it Sanae cosplaying Nepgear or Nepgear cosplaying Sanae? Either way, they both share an innate love for mecha, have carefully(hopefully) restrained antagonistic tendencies, are apparently surrounded by people who do not seem to know the concept of common sense, a knack for outdoing their predecessors, share traits associated with deities, and are related by blood to said deities who don't appear to do their job well/take their jobs seriously....man, they share too many things in common that it's almost uncanny.
For a little context, just imagine Gear/Sanae spotting someone cosplaying Gipsy Danger. Or an Eva. Gurren Lagann. A Gundam. Anything, really, as long as it's a mecha.

Well at least she has pants now. Not that it matters of course. Personally I don't think Nepgear would last long in a Damaku game in Touhou. It's really hard to transition from turn based role playing to Shoot'em up.
Speaking of Gundams (since I'm a huge Gundam fan myself) I think Nepgear would probably like Gundam Exia for it's Gunblade (the GN Sword).

Hey, now that I think about it, it's actually been a while since you last drew any Touhou, MDS(the end-year scribble compilation doesn't count), and now that you finally made it, crossed over with another one of my favorite characters in one of my favorite games, I'm so happy!
Oh, and Nepgear Kochiya, be a good girl and make me some miracles, will ya? I need some for my upcoming class project. XD

Honestly, they're too alike save for the radical youkai slaying antics in Sanae's part. And maybe the lack of common sense on the miko too.
I would love to see the Hisoutensoku duke it out with Brave or Judge.... Or maybe both... IT. WILL. BE. GLORIOUS. HOLY CRAP, I NEED TO WRITE THIS IN MY SPARE TIME.

A humongous mechanical construct built right into their most iconic structure. They're all buds now, so it's not meant for warfare. It's not meant for exterminating overpopulating monsters. It's not for putting the fear of god into the hearts of villains. They did it for the sake for being awesome. And they did a darn good job at it.

The guards in the Ultradimension Lowee sucked. Planeptune learned from that and realised that jacking it up to insane proportions was the sane thing to do.

Well, there's also the fact that anyone who takes over Planeptune is insanely overpowered. The Neptengen Neptoppa Gurrenep Lagannep was kind of a necessity.

They'd place supports for places that'd need them once the originals are taken out to be replaced with robotic components. Even if the people involved in the work would seem suspicious, they would be seen exiting the Tower with rubble so their presence would he handwaved as simple "renovating." They'd use small-scale models to run tests in case of any unforeseen errors. Once they're done with replacing every necessary part of the Neptower into robot parts, strengthening areas that would break if the robot were to finally transform, and making sure that its original use as the sanctuary of Planeptune's CPUs would not be compromised, then... well, then the fun starts.

Or maybe switch jobs for a while? You know, Nepgear going exterminating youkai and Sanae doing the paperworks at the Basilicom? Or how about this? They team up together, make themselves a robot, and then participate in the Real Steel competitions. Or supposedly find an abandoned robot in the dumpster and remake it into a new robot, the SanaeGear XLR?

They'd be as enthusiastic about robots as regular girls over here squeal over pop stars. And damn, a robot boxer that they made together would be awesome! Would it be manually controlled by console, voice command, or shadow function?

Either console(like self-made gaming console, complete with gaming controllers), voice command, or... you know, the thing where you connect yourself to some wiring and some shit, and when you move, the robot copies your moves. That thing.
Or instead, find 3 more members to make their own Super Sentai team. XD
