They're not very visible on paper anymore either, so it worked out okay

It became darker because I didn't have such light yellow paint to start with (the bottom layer became darker than I intended XD) and then with the shadowing layers it became a bit darker overall. But because you used light-brown lines in one of your reference pictures so that's why I used the light brown in the shading as well.

Nah, it's fine Too bad some people think the blonde is a guy I guess I can sorta see it... but I'm too familiar with those characters.
