personally I prefer pre- tokyo drift fast and furious films then the later entries. With Tokyo Drift definitely being the best. I mean hell when the series goes from 10 second drag racing to fighting on an airplane on the world's longest runway you know something's wrong. Β I mean I don't like the later entries I just sometimes wish the series focused less on paul and vin and more about the culture and cars.Β

but now?.. Now its more a action movie with Some flashy cars trown in to keep the old fan-base a little happy..Β
dont get me wrong i dont hate it ... but its no longer a Car lovers movie the claim to be...Β

I think one of the reasons why there aren't as many imports in the films anymore is because of Honda banning the use of their cars in anything street racing related. And to the producers when they think import with bodykit they think "honda civic ricer". So they've stopped featuring them.Β

omg someone who agrees with me. Like I don't mind supercars in games but I wish they weren't dependable. Like NFS Carbon where you could race the final boss with either a muscle, tuner or exotic. Rather then these days it's exotic or go home.Β
Hell even in the fast and furious movies all the supercars are there for just looks. Like the only time I remember seeing a supercar do anything in those films was that gt2 paul walker briefly drove in five. Apart from that they're all show.Β

At this point yes. I mean when they did Five I thought the series was going to go in a direction of Italian Job style heists, which admittedly I would love. However they've gone absolutely insane. It just used to be about 1/4 mile drag racing but now it's about Explosions, Terroists, Guns, and dwayne johnson.
But there is still hope there was a film that came out a while ago called Born 2 Race which focuses on street racing and drag racing. There are a few races in it but they all feature unique and cool cars not all modern given by the manufacturer as part of a promotion deal.
