HAH. Sorry. I totally hit the wrong button. My bad. XD

Ahem. What I was going to say along with that was that I really love the muted colors and tones of this image. I also really like the way her hair curls and flows. It ties in very nicely with the spirals at the bottom of the image itself. I also really like the softness of the messy pencils. It really lends to the mood of the piece. Great work!

I personally like the piece and how detailed you made her jewelry and dress.
The added floral detail at the bottom also works nicely to complete the piece and as mentioned by ~DayanDeVarlo I also love how the curls are mirrored in the hair.

However, I feel like the lines could be sharpened a bit, to give the piece a neater and more finished look. What could help would be to ink the outlines of the piece (not necessarily the hair and such), to pull everything together more. That way the outline would be a bit stronger and more noticeable.

I really like how you did her face, but there seems to be a bit of anatomical disproportion in it as well. The hair seems to be a bit to high-up, making the forehead look really large and making her skull look a bit disproportionate-looking in comparison to the rest of the body. The hands also look a bit off, with how the fingers are twisted. What always helps me is to draw them out in rough shapes first and refine from there.

That being said: I do think this piece is absolutely lovely. Your use of color and texture compliments the lines and the detail is stunning.
Well done!

Hey!

I really like this picture, the tones, the composition and most of all the gestures are so lovely! Her hands look very accurate and expressive, so does her face, and the tiny detaiils around the jewelry are nicely done too!

However, the face is slightly disproportionate. Her ear is a bit too small and slightly too high, the forehead feels a bit too forward, and the angle of the nose and the bridge kind of "pull" her jaw with them, making the chin and the lower parts of the jaw look protruding compared to the neck.

The textures you've added fit the mood of the picture very well withou drawing too much attention, and the colors really help the viewer focus on the face. I love her hairstyle too, and it's also very nice how you mirror the waves of the hair with the shapes on the lower part of the picture.
Your lines seem kind of shy and uncertain, which can add to the picture's mood, but sometimes it blurs the edges a bit, like on the right side of her clothes.

Overall, this is a very nice picture, with a good choice in textures and tones, a very expressive gesture and an excellent composition. There's always room for improvement, and it's a very good idea to reference from photos like you've done here!
Keep up the good work!

Day

What a lovely piece of art.
It's not a necessarily complex drawing, but it captures the emotion really well.
Good job.

I personally love the Art Nouveau feel of your work and the serene, well-chosen color scheme for this. The details you put on her accessories are also awesome, they really enhanced the picture greatly - in my opinion. As much as I love the general composition and colors, there's still room for you to improve on anatomy. You can improve by the stock images available on dA - just pull in a sketchbook and try to doodle one or two random poses everyday - practice makes perfect
This piece of work really is promising, please keep that up

what struck me first for this picture was the use of textures for the image. It has a bright, warm feel to it, and that's on of the pros of this work. on the other hand, i'd recommend that you work more of the anatomy... the girl on the reference picture seems to be standing upright, a bit leaning on the back, while your character seems to be simply standing straight. try to use other reference pictures for poses, there are a lot of them on modelling sites like lookbook or looklet. nice job overall.

hey!
i like the "flow" of the painting, it's very serene.
i also think that the right hand (her right) could use a little more work, i usually have this problem as well (hands r hard to deal with)

i also really like how u mergered all the lines at the bottom, and all the jewlery details as well.
over all- nice work !

Not bad, I like your use of the reference. Her right arm seems a little off to me though. It looks a little too stiff and I can't quite see the wrist bending correctly. Her fingers look a little teeny bit off but this is understandable seeing her fingers are in a tricky position. Her ear seems small, though I can see in reality it is quite small, it looks too small in this picture. Her hair atop from where she's brushing should not be flowing. As in the reference, one long part of her hair should be following the stroke of her brush. I like your take on her dress but her top does not look realistic or believable.

Nice picture but it could be fixed up a little. My suggestions would be to practice drawing different people's ears in different angles, draw fingers opened, closed, and holding different objects, practice hair (especially when it is being brushed or combed), and practice clothing details like wrinkles and lines as well as practice drawing different styles of clothing including dresses.
