Fun to think that ships like these have sailed the world with, what would be considered by today's standards to be very primitive ways to navigate like star charts and naval maps. Very impressive

Her captain had a good heart, and that brave little vessel did not fail them--although it came close. Β You'd like the account of the Mayflower II's voyage in 1957. Β When they sailed her with 16th Century technique, she did superbly.
