Fun to think that ships like these have sailed the world with, what would be considered by today's standards to be very primitive ways to navigate like star charts and naval maps. Very impressive

And could be repaired on a beach with an axe, and an auger. Β Thank you VERY much for you kind words and praise!

I am greatly honored at your interest in my work. These days it's Β been poetry. Β I feel... awkward around some of the photographers lurking here... they're SO good.

Awwwh that's so nice of you! Β
I'm here to mainly look at others' art, and talk with people, cus I'm pretty much bedridden and have two broken arms so I pretty much can't do anything besides typing and pressing those fav buttons XD
and awh don't feel awkward! There are indeed great photographers, but I enjoy Β pictures the most by what is in them, if that makes sense lol X3

I do hope the Bath Chair and the broken bones are temporary things... Β I admire good photographs, I keep the ones of things I wish to remember.

Idk to be honest, shit is pretty bad :/ wheelchair I'll probably have to keep tho, since my legs and pelvis are purty bad...
a Bath Chair looks way cooler than a wheelchair tho imo :3

I saw her in 1986 when I took a tour of New England and saw Plimouth Plantations.

We didn't make it there that day. Β It was 15 degrees. Pilgrim-killing weather.

Recovered well, though. Villiers wrote a fascinating account of the voyage across the Atlantic. Β She did quite well!

Roodbard1958 is a professional Dutch naval historian, he puts up fascinating photos of old ships and design models. Β Also lovely pictures of what he sees going back and forth of Vlissingen.

Hard to believe they crammed so many people into such a small vessel.Β

Her captain had a good heart, and that brave little vessel did not fail them--although it came close. Β You'd like the account of the Mayflower II's voyage in 1957. Β When they sailed her with 16th Century technique, she did superbly.
