Manga is pretty good. It spans from Samus first Meeting with her adoptive chozo guardians, Ridley's attack on her home world, her parents deaths/sacrifices, Training with the Chozo, Joining the Galactic Federation, her last mission in the GF, her first encounter with ridley since the death of her parents where she has an appropriately timed PTSD attack, and her battle with him during the first game/Zero Mission. unfortunately it was only released in japan and there is no legal way to read it in English, there are however some pretty good fan translations.
