is it doing it again? does it crash while rendering?
are your drivers (especially videocard) all up to date?

it actually crashes usually right after i click save , so i do have the scene saved before it shuts down. and the drivers and all are definitely up to date since i just did a complete reinstall less than 2 weeks ago >_< It just needs to be replaced, the poor baby is tired ^_^ it's over 6 years old now, and despite it being ultimate back then, it's just not a quad core, doesn't matter if it does have almost 4 gigs of memory >_< oh well, maybe this spring i can get something new ^^
