A summer solstice sun setting over a field of partially-bloomed poppies in rural Oxfordshire (same afternoon but different location to my previous upload).Commended by the judges in the 2010 'Landscape Photographer of the Year' awards.

You've got some amazing photos you've taken and edited. Most impressed. Love the depth of field in this one and keeping it dark works well to reiterate the highlighted areas and emphasis more depth of light in the photo. I proably would have been a numpty and tried lighting the scene more only to lose the depth.

Thank you so much.. yes the image is about those glowing poppies really and with lots of other distracting details in the foreground I thought it best to keep it slightly darker to keep the emphasis on the poppies
