Description
- The young dragon Queen stopped as her violet eyes landed on the two women, her tail gave a little wiggle as she saw them. She looked as though she wanted to run over to them, but held herself steady for the sake of decorum. The little Queen kicked her chin up and came over to them, stopping a mere arm’s length away. “I found you.” Her voice was higher pitched, but held a little rumble with it. She spoke as all dragons did, like they were singing a song. A Dragon’s call to one another sounded like songs, so it was only natural that they would want to sing to their humans as well. Irena couldn’t breathe. The dragon tilted her head inquisitively. “You like to read?” Her voice pitched up in her song.
Irena’s stomach dropped and her breath came out in a rush as she turned to look at Estella. Estella’s green eyes were wide with horror, and she dropped her book to the ground.
“I am a Healer...I have to be well read.” Estella stammered.
“A Healer?” The Queen stepped closer, violet eyes trained on Estella. “Well, Healer, I have Chosen you, do you accept me as your Pair?”
Tears streamed down Estella’s face, so much so that Irena began crying as well. Her hands cupped her face, as a sob tore through her. She felt the tears burn as they streaked down her cheeks. She wasn’t sure if they were tears of joy for Estella, or from shock at her own loss.
“I accept!” Estella stepped forward and wrapped her arms around the Dragon’s neck. The young woman buried her face in the Fledgling Queen’s shoulder. “I am Estella.” She murmured through dragon scales.
“I am called Cirvi.” The dragon’s little song was a happy one. Her wings came out and wrapped around the two of them, almost like she was hugging Estella as the young woman cried -
I drew a little doodle of Estella!
