Another Bloodborne doodle, again technically fanart but also not because it's a headcanon (based on someone elses but Y'KNOW)
Laurence, The First Vicar. Or as I like to call him, poor precious husband o:

I can do better wavy hair if it's on a larger scale/if I'm zoomed out further BUT HEY I TRIED yes his hair is wavy and a mess. It was also supposed to be lighter but then it was getting too close to Maria's hair colour so I just went with this...I feel like most if not all of my headcanons are going to be blonde

ANYHOO, I like to believe that Laurence was just a scholar at heart, one who ended up leading the most powerful establishment within Yharnam, the Healing Church, if only because he founded it. He was probably very kind and generous with his time, but as time went on he took more blood and started looking more of a mess until that one fateful day that we all know about. He was more than capable of defending himself, mostly because I think he was part of the 'young group of Byrgenwerth scholars' who explored the Underground Labyrinth/Chalice Dungeons (because srsly Gehrman's great but he couldn't protect all of them at the same time I mean once you get into the later dungeons you can easily get overrun so yeah, Laurence probably knows how to suplex people). In the words of the Afflicted Beggar;
"You call me a beast? A beast?! What would you know! I didn't ask for this..."
It got out of his control, Micolash pulled the School of Mensis further and further away, and in turn, the Choir, to the point where in an act of desperation Laurence used the Beast's Embrace rune and

I think you all get my headcanon by now POINT IS LOOKIT HIM HE HAS FRECKLES WHO CAN SAY NO TO FRECKLES
probably has a fur somewhere that Ludwig wants him to wear but Laurence would rather just go read a book or have some tea or walk around
