Oh, it's become an unwelcome tradition for something major to go wrong on my birthday. No matter how low my expectations are, one person always fucks up on my birthday... Last year it was my best friend from kindergarden who didn't even show up because she first 'had to learn for a test' (with another friend) and then met up with her freshly-in-love-boyfriend, but supposedly was totally sick that day and told me she fell asleep. Now she didn't even call me to tell me she wasn't coming so I sat there, waiting for her to show up, texting her... waited forever to cut into my birthday cake because I didn't wanna do it without her ... until I realized at midnight she probably wasn't gonna show up anymore.
Something like this always happens. I hate my birthday. :/
