I mean that I am trying to squeeze in my works after you two guys who get a lot of attention and sometimes I feel like Sisphus in my efforts. I mean you guys are good at textures!

I know that feeling. When I started off in May or so, I worked my butt off... I have loaded up at least one texture a day since then, with a few exceptions. I'm continuingly trying to get better because I am far away from where I want to be, but it's a tough road and a lot of work. If you feel that way, you're right on track. Just keep working, also on yourself, don't loose focus on where you want to go and eventually you will see results
Aside from that, I have been making textures for at least 7 years now for another website. It was only in May that I decided to show them off here. So that has a past

I didn't expect any feedback from my comment, I had only wanted to imply that the textures you both make are of superior quality. They are not only visually exciting but have an emotional impact. Thanks for the comments and I will keep on chugging with my textures. I also realize that one needs to 'network' on this site and I am not particularly good at that and I can see that you both are because of the almost instant response - and a super friendly one at that. And I know that takes as much work/time as doing the textures - at least for me since I find it rather laborious. And just curious, mc - on what other website do you have your textures?

Yes, networking is also important - after all, this is a social network. I don't see how you're not good at networking, I think you're doing a great job of giving feedback and expressing yourself. Really, as long as you're polite and open for other people's opinions, there's not much to mess up I think.
I have been working for a German hobby design and resources website, called shizoo-design. But we've had a couple of bad hacking attacks this year, so the site's been 'dead' for many months now. The need to express myself anyway has made me build up my gallery here

i felt the same way with my drawings and later with my textures for 3-4 years. there were the ones who got the "top" and i was trying again and again, losing my faith in this site quite a bit. i'm really thankful for the attention that i get now, just because i worked for this for quite some time. i don't think that it's any different with you and your works, it takes time to reach this and you're fully able to do it i think.
