I'd say this one is better on the lighting. Still, the moon should have a bright ring/ hallow around it making it so there is lighter blue gradiating out into the near black in the round shape. You have it a little here but its seems like it's...tilted or off some how.
Anyways, this is much more balanced. I know you most likely did this before I commented on your last piece so that is great and awesome that you must ahve noticed it yourself. I mean, just compare this to your other one. See how there are common colors scattered out the picture? That creates unity and gives a better impression that the character and the background truely are working together to create a scene!
