Description
A blend of traditional Egyptian motifs with industrial design elements; this is my "Industrial Bast" mask, cat goddess of dancing and music.

It is made from one piece of 8oz leather, hand carved & shaped without molds or forms, then dyed & painted with colorfast acrylics in bright silver and black.

Then I augmented and decorated it with real steel and silver clock parts, securely bolted and cemented to the piece.

I finally found some clock hands that were enameled black aluminum, but left with bare aluminum on the back, so now I have "silvery" clock hands to play with when I'm building cog assemblies. Fun fun!
