My heart bleeds for the sunrise that never comes.Bloodstained snow blankets the landscape that expands into the endless night.
The smell of anger, loss, and fear linger in the still air.
Empty eyes stare blindly through the darkness searching for their soul that is lost in the aftermath of war.

What i enjoy most about this piece is how your sentences have a perfect balance and a relative flow about them that makes the whole thing more powerful and therefore a strong impact made upon the reader. There isn't any clichΓ©s either which sometimes tend to pop up unexpectedly when writing in this genre - which isn't necessarily an easy one to do, but you pulled it of brilliantly.
The lines are graceful and evocative, the last line is the perfect example of this. Not to mention a certain simplicity running throughout the entire pieces helps to make it very enjoyable to read.

I worked really hard on this and I am glad that you like it so much. I don't really know much about writing, especially poems, I usually just write whatever comes to mind, and what feels and sounds right.
