Today is my Onee-sama's birthday. But due to a lack of motivation and with everything that's been going on I haven't been really feeling the mode to draw anything. So next week I'll do that. But one thing that cheers me up is making my character Kaila. And to be honest I kinda wanted to make a new reference sheet. One that isn't as messy. So yeah if you draw Kaila ignore those other two. I'm still gonna keep them up cause they get a lot of views and I don't hate them. They're just not accurate. In this one her outfit [which is her main outfit she wears in Howloze 90% of the time] is more drawn nicely, she's a bit less muscular [I wanted to make her muscular cause I thought it be more accurate. But then I realized nothing in my series is accurate so I just made her a bit less muscule-y cause I like it more] Her lovely black hair is also drawn a bit nicer. Anyway I hope you like it. Kaila Lacitieyen, also known as Weiss Black by most on earth, is the deuteragonist of Monogatari no Howloze. She is a rival/antagonist of Yuya and all of his friends. However, as time passes, she slowly becomes good friends with Yuya and his team. It is also later revealed that she is actually from a parallel world known as Howloze and is the princess of one of its kingdoms; Lacitieyen. She also has a twin sister Lila who she shares her body with. And because of this the personality of the two girls goes back and forth quite a bit. When first appearing in the series Kaila starts strong, quick-tempered smart, and very determined towards her goals. Going as far to being even cruel and ruthless at times. But as her past is revealed she is scene for what she really is which is quite cowardly, pathetic and desperate to save her family, friends, and home world at any cost.

Appearance- Kaila is a young woman of above average height [even being taller than some men her own age at times], with a slightly muscular yet slim build, pale skin, and decent chest size. She is most noted for her brilliant azure eyes and for her pitch-black hair both of which she inherited from her father as the appearance between the two, looks uncanny. Her hair is quite long, going down to her ankles while three long strands hang down in front of her face. These pieces are always pinned up to the left side where they fan out. The rest of her hair is usually left hanging down but it also sometimes worn in a braid or a half braid when she’s fighting.
Her attire changes quite often with a wide range of outfits, but her attire is always made up of black and white [or sometimes just black]. And mostly being gothic Victorian dresses or skirts with blouses. No matter which outfit she is wearing however she is always scene with some type of pair of gloves, something in her hair to keep her bangs up and a black choker [even if she is wearing a different necklace, she still wears that one underneath] which keeps her in her human form. And if she is not fighting, she wears white heart earrings, and make-up.

Her first outfit she scene in is a gothic lolita-style outfit which consist of a white blouse, black vest, black neck tie, black jacket with long x lacing going down the sleeves, a skirt with ruffles, black garder belts, long white stockings and tall black boots. She only wears this outfit on earth as she was told it was normal by someone she first met on earth.

However, her most common outfit [and the one featured here] is a h a white blouse, a black lace frill around the collar, an opal brooch, black vest, a black jacket, a long black skirt, white pants underneath and the same black boots. Also accompanying this outfit at times is a black hat. And her hair is also worn in a braid sometimes.

Her third most common outfit is the outfit she wears when fighting she consist of a white shirt, black tie, black short skirt, shorts underneath it, long black stockings, combat boots, gloves, vambraces, chest armor, and a long coat over it.

At Raven’s Port school she chooses to wear her own outfit instead of the usual uniform. This consist of gakuran styled uniform jacket, a dress shirt, a knee-length black pleaded skirt, thigh high stockings, and black penny loafers

Personality- Kaila has been noted to be an odd one by most, being quiet, awkward and always acting curious about things. She doesn’t like crowds or being around people at all. Keeping her contact with others short and brief before she goes off alone. Half of this being to her traumatic past but even before that she was marked to be a bit strange. However, she is very loyal and loving to those who earn it.

Prior to the war between Lacitieyen and Xaireyolf, Kaila was said to be more happy, wide eyed, and even rambunctious from time to time. Despite trying to be a proper young lady Kaila never could manage such things. She enjoyed playing with her father most of all and he was the only one who gave her any attention and care. However, once he left due too reasons that would be unknown to her for many of years: Kaila was left even more alone then ever which caused her to act out even more to gain further attention. Going as so far as teasing her brothers and others with live garden snakes, stealing their stuff and once even setting a bed on fire

Her loneliness also gave her a desire to do whatever her brothers or father did in hopes to get closer to them. And because of this she always would hang around and pester then whenever she could but because most of them were all busy and the other ones didn’t like it, she couldn’t hang around them nearly as much as she wanted too hardly at all. So, she was left once again to try and mimic their hobbies from a far. The things she enjoyed most were painting which she learned from her brother Amos and trying to follow in her father’s research on human biology. However, because of her curiosity she often got in trouble either through asking questions she shouldn’t or forgetting standards. When she was 6 years old, she dissected her pet rabbit her mother gave her after it died. Despite Kaila not being bothered by this at all and actually enjoying it she was quite sad when everyone told her it was creepy and sick of her to do so. This curiosity is something she bares with her even to this day. Having a strong desire to learn and better herself and maybe even help others.

However, after the war Kaila grew a lot quieter and shyer around people. Although she never liked being alone, she hates crowds and interacting with more than one person at a time unless she feels comfortable around them [such as Yuya and all of his friends and her own friends from her past but even then, if she’s with them all she can get drained quickly]. She also developed social anxiety disorder, has low confidence in her own strength, PTSD, fear of hospitals and ghost. And has great distrust for almost everyone even herself. The only ones she does trust seems to be Enzan and her sister Lila. Her trust in Enzan comes from a deep admiration and love for him. Her trust from Lila however, does not come out of love but simply because she knows her better than anyone. She finds it foolish to rely on anyone because even if they don’t mean to, they will always let you down sooner or later. These traits have left Kaila believing she is a cowardly, pathetic liar. She hates her own fears, desiring to change but every time she tries, she just ends up going back to being the way she was before which makes her hate herself even more. Despite that she always tries to fight out of a desire to keep her love ones safe to repay them for keeping her safe and being there for her. Her willingness to protect them and fight for them is very strong and as proven to be a detriment at time to time as she seems to forget about her own needs. But it can also be a positive as it keeps her going and takes her mind off of her own destructive thoughts.

Now Kaila has developed a bit more. Though still having all of her fears and social problems she tries to control them a bit more. Being more of a graceful and elegant persona who puts on a happy face [even if when it is a lie]. Because of this when people first meet her, she comes off as lady-like, fairly happy, cheery but is a bit strange, slightly she and spacy. But the more people stay around her the more she is revealed to be quiet, shy, blunt, depressingly realistic, cunning, and very hot tempered. Reacting in a vast manner of ways from yelling, to physically hurting, or even tearing up the room. She is also still very greatly untrusting towards many and has trouble having sure of her own strength. And is very envious of her sister’s strength and ability to function in groups. However even then Kaila is very loving, loyal, curious, woman who desires to be better [even though she has trouble with self-improvement]. She still loves to paint, and preform her scientific studies.

Abilities-Kaila has a varied number of skills, and abilities stemming from her blood line, the Dragon of Light and her own skills making her quite a powerful opponent. Her major flaw being her own insecurities and fears but when she pushes them down, she can be quite strong. The first set abilities are in her own blood line as members of the Lacitieyen Royal Family have slightly stronger immune systems, capability to adapt faster and strength greater than an average human. The second source from the Dragon of Light’s fragment seed inside of her which gives her increased speed, strength, regeneration, mental processing, and senses. She can also fully merge with it which gives her even more power. While merged she wears the “magical girl” dress, her strength, speed, and senses are more super human, and she can even fly for a decent amount of time. However, while flying she cannot carry as much weight and it will lessen her flying time. She however can only transform up to 24 times in the series due to the Power Level Limit the Dragon of Light put on it.

However, her most common power is Light Construction. A power that all of the Lacitieyen royal family possess Although Kaila’s seems to be on a whole entirely different level. [Due to her having the Dragon of Light inside her]. Like the other members Kaila can manipulate light into different types of holographic illusions or even make them into solid constructs. These constructs can take the shape and color of anything she desires; allowing her to make weapons, light chains that can attack or bind her foes, or even prisons. Since making many things from illusions to weapons, it allows her to go the defensive or offensive. However, these constructions go as far as 2 Km radius and the bigger and/or more elaborate the constructions are the more concentration and light it takes create. And if it's too big she can't focus on anything else [even her own movement could risk making her lose focus in making the constructs]. She also needs full daylight to make these larger constructions. These constructions are also not invincible and can be broken by a strong enough opponent. The Light Construction skill is something she can use even when not merged with the Dragon of Light as it is a family ability.

However even without her powers Kaila is very smart, very strong and fast to adapt and learn. And despite her selective memory from time to time she can remember most things quite well. She is a skilled painter, scientist [especially in the field of biology], and good at many of games. She is also skilled in western styled martial arts, swordsmanship, and pole arms.

Weapon-Kaila sometimes uses a one-handed European style sword however her most common weapon is a glaive-like weapon known as the Howloze Staff. The Howloze staff is an advanced weapon created by a team of scientist commissioned by the first emperor of Lacitieyen. Because of this it can only be used by one of his descendance. In its base form it takes the shape of thin silver liquid that hides in the user’s blood on a microscopic level and can be summoned when the users cut their right palm and wills it to come out. Once summoned it turns into a pole arm weapon that’s overall shape varies on which user. In Kaila’s case it takes the shape of a long glaive with a spade shape blade connected to a gold base that is set with a blue diamond shaped gem then then connects to another base which is a fairly large pink crystal. The blue crystal can send out energy blast made out of converted kinetic energy. Whereas the pink crystal can be used to direct chains made out of her light construction. Its shaft is silver and can actually stretch out as far as 5 meters and bend quite flexible. This allows the user the ability to target far away targets or ones that are around a sharp corner. In addition to this the staff can take the shape of varies things; such as an umbrella, walking cane, sword or tea cup.

Etymology- Kaila is "Hebrew and means "Crown of laurel”. Laurel crowns are a symbol that trace back to Greek mythology. Apollo is represented wearing a laurel wreath on his head, and wreaths were awarded to victors in athletic competitions, including the ancient Olympics. Kaila is a Champion in my series Monogatari no Howloze. And she as the power of an ancient dragon of light, which is considered to be a god by many in my Series Monogatari no Howloze. Kaila's name is also another name of lily that grows in her home kingdom that is known as the Lacitieyen Star Lily. Trina means chastise or pure. Andrea means a defender of mankind who is manly and strong. Luciana means Light, illumination or Light of Day. Fiammata means Blaze or to Burn Brightly. The name Genera means General, Generic and is of Latin origin. Sari means Princess. And her sir-name Lacitieyen something I created. It is supposed to be a take on La City Yen. [La being the French feminine word for “the’. The English word City. And yen which is a currency used in Japan]. It is the name of her Kingdom.

Voice/Mannerisms- Kaila’s voice is very deep to the point of almost sounding like a young man or a woman pretending to be a man at times. She usually speaks in a very formal monotone mannerism with polite honorifics, to the point where she shows hardly any familiarity, warmth, or humanity in it. She does this out of etiquette and formality not out of respect for the person she is talking to. However, when she is by herself, she uses more of a boyish way of referring to herself and others which is something she picked up from hanging around more men in her life then women. However even then she keeps her monotone voice and impersonal speech, only raising her voice when angered or embarrassed. When angered her voice booms at the start to being a bit more shrilled at the end, and when embarrassed her voice gets mumbled with brief squeals at the end. Outside of her friends and family from her past she refers to almost everyone she meets to by their surname; even then certain friends of hers are still referred to by their surname unless she is being sincerer.

Story-To long to write but here is the SHORT version [which in itself is already pretty long]

She was a princess of the kingdom of Lacitieyen in a world parallel to earth known as Howloze which is very similar to earth however quite different as spirits, demons, and ghouls run rampant there. She was the 18th child of Queen Kilala Lacitieyen and Consort Aldrich Beckford. She was also the younger twin sister to Lila Lacitieyen however shortly after the twins were born, Lila vanished. It was believed that she died but unknown to everyone Lila merged herself with Kaila due to some powers that Lila mysterious had been granted before she was even born. Because of this Lila always existed but Kaila merely thought she was an imaginary friend she created so she wouldn't be lonely due to all of her family being busy.

Besides that though, Kaila's life was a happy one for quite a while However two things disrupted it. When she was 6 years old, she got sick and was going to die. To save her, her father gave her a stone known as a fragment seed which held the powers of a powerful being known as Lacitieyen the Dragon of Light. This saved his dying daughter and she recovered. However later on in that year her father left the castle and she didn't see him for quite a while. It was during his absence when Kaila heard Lila's voice for the first time as it was his departure that made her feel the loneliest. The second thing to disrupted her happy life was when she was 7 years old her kingdom went to war with its sister kingdom Xaireyolf after the assassination of her mother. She escaped the war and went into hiding with 4 of her brothers.

A year later though, the oldest out of the 4 remaining brothers was killed and the other three were injured. Kaila was sent to a lab where she was experimented on in hopes of making her the perfect warrior to slay a creature known as the DemonARK which was an evil spirit that was prophesied to destroy all of Howloze. And she already had the powers of the Dragon of Light they believed she would be perfect for this task. Their end goal is the merge another fragment stone inside of her, this one being Xaireyolf the Dragon of Dark and they hope that both dragons’ powers will be enough to finally put a end to the DemonARK.

It was in this lab she met a young boy named Yue and his friend Mina. She became friends with them, but the scientist threatened to kill them if she would not go through with the project. Not wanting her friends to die she goes through with it but the scientist tries to kill Yue and Mina anyway however before they can, Yue and Mina vanish. After the experiment is over it is first thought that Kaila died during it but before the scientist could figure out how she died she vanished as well.

It turned out she is saved by her final 3 brothers Raphael, Isecar and Leo who have been looking for her ever since. Reunited with her brothers Kaila finally feels a sense of peace and happiness that she hand't felt for quite a while. She also meets Yuri Krasny a young man who is a friend her brothers met during the time they were looking for her, Dr. Hamilton, and Nurse Mei-Liu Change. All who become her friends as well and help her recover from her traumatizing time at the lab.

Things are quite well until the scientist from the lab finally find the Lacitieyen siblings. In their attempts to get Kaila back they try to kill her brothers and take her by force. However, like Yue and Mina, her brothers vanish in thin air and Kaila passes out. When she wakes up, she is at an orphanage and is told her brothers are dead. She then continues to stay there for a while until one night when the orphanage was under attack Kaila used powers to defend it. One of the boy’s was impressed by this and suggested Kaila should join the army to really do some good and defend people as she would be excellent for the task. Not wanting to be a victim all her life Kaila leaves the orphanage and set’s off to join the army.
After creating the identity Weiss Black and lying about her age Kaila joins the LDF (The Lacitieyen Defence Force) A division that simply protects the people from demons, ghouls and other wild beast. She then meets several other training cadets, Ray, Marianna, Allen, Declan, Min, Yumiko and Yumiko’s sister Momo. Over time she grows closer to them and when they graduate from training, they form a team which they accidently call Orange Pumpkin. And together they work to defend the people. During this time, she was re-meets Yuri Krasny after not seeing him since her brothers’ supposed death. She helps him in a situation and feeling indebted to her and wanting to help his friends’ little sister he decided to help look after her. He jokes at the idea of them having a servant and master relationship so it wouldn't seem like he's trying to take her brothers' place. She also finally tells her teammates who she really is and her backstory

Finally, Orange Pumpkin get their first real big mission which is to protect the Duke of Lacitieyen, Edmund and his brother Henry who are the last remaining members of the royal family. Kaila confesses that he is actually a distant relative of hers and she was once in an arranged marriage to him before the war. She then reconnects with him, his brother and Sora, his body guard who also use to be Kaila’s friend when she lived at the castle. Edmund offers Kaila to come back to live in the capital with them to which Kaila confesses she will think of much to her team's disapointment. Before she can decide though Edmund, Henry, and Sora are supposedly killed which leaves Kaila devastated. Her teammates are also demoted as it is viewed by all that they failed their mission. A couple of months later they are given a holiday. They all decide to go back to their families at each of their home towns but when they realize Kaila would be alone, they decide to leave one day later to spend some time with her. Because they stayed behind, the team is requested to do a quick search on a village whose residents strangely all vanished before they leave which they agree to. Kaila begs her friends to just leave fearing they might die like the rest of her family but they promise her it will be fine. The next day they take a look around and almost come up empty but at the last minute a demon attacks them all. Before they each are killed, they instead disappear just like all the rest. Believing her friends’ died Kaila is once again left alone in despair.
Sometime after, she quits the LDF and just stays on her own. Not to long after that though she receives a letter which informs her she inherited a manor, a great sum of money, and title from Edmund. She then moves into her new manor with Yuri Krasny {who now goes by Enzan Reno} per Kaila’s request. Kaila then lives a quite life in her manor, as time passes, she gains to more servants named Lapis and Laizar, and also a pet bird known as Sevastyan. She also gets a job as a scientist but even then she remains locked up in her manor as that is all she wishes from her life from now on.

However, everything changes when she finally comes face to face with Lila. The voice she’d heard in her head ever since she was 6 years old not only reveals itself to be real but is in fact her sister Lila. Lila then tells her she must stop the DemonARK which is finally awakened and will destroy all of Howloze. And it is the request of the Dragon of Light and the Dragon of Dark that she stops. She at first once no part of it and tells Lila to do it herself; to which they inform her it must be both Kaila and Lila as Kaila can only use Lacitieyen’s power and Lila can only use the Dragon of Dark as that is who they’re each connected too. To give her some motivation they inform her that her friends and family, Yue, Mina, Raphael, Isecar, Leo, Edmund, Henry, Sora, Min, Yumiko, Momo, Daniel, Allen, Marianne, and Ray are still all alive as Lila saved each one of them before they died by turning them into demons. With the possibility of getting her beloved family back, and saving her world from the fate of being destroyed by the DemonARK Kaila then sets off on a journey to make things right. This journey soon takes her to earth where she meets, Yuya, Minako, Reggie, Mari, Edward, Alex, Daniel, Sky, Steven, Critas, Mer, Matt, Yuriko, Richey, and Moriko who all remind her deeply of her love ones from Howloze and she befriends them. However, she soon discovers that her journey has led her down a path in becoming the enemy of her new friends on earth as the only way to save her old friends and world she must destroy her new ones. Wanting nothing more than to save her love ones and home world Kaila has made her self the enemy towards Yuya and his friends; but how far is she willing go in this act before consciences stops her and Yuya finds out.

Triva:
Kaila is my second oldest OC being made in 2011. She was original known as May-Lou Kaila. A perky photographer who was inspired off Carly Nagisa from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds. Her name was inspired off Mayl Sakurai from Megaman Nt. Warriors and Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! Dual Monsters. But over time she started going through drastic changes, so I made May-Lou Kaila into Kaila Lacitieyen. A quiet, strong tragic princess who likes science now only wears black.

Kaila’s design is inspired off Design Carly Nagisa from Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds [she gave me the idea for May-Lou who later became Kaila], Kilala Reno from Kilala Princess [Kaila's face is completely inspired off of Kilala's], Fuya/Robin from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL [inspired her side bangs], Maka Albarn from Soul Eater [Kaila's black trench coat comes from her and detective in Noir films], Akame from Akame Ga Kill [Inspired her adventure outfit, her long black hair and how it would work] V/Christopher Arclight FROM Yu-Oh! ZEXAL [Gave the idea for Kaila's hair shape], Alice in Wonderland [gave me the idea of making her wear fancy clothes] Saki Hanajima from Fruits Basket [Gave me the idea for just wearing black], Estellise Sidos Heurassein from Tales of Vesperia [Inspired her Magical Girl outfit and her new Magical Girl outfit] Lelouch vi Britannia from Code Geass, [inspired her Magical Girl Outfit crown], Euphemia li Britannia from Code Geass [her expression inspired some of Kaila's], Yato from Noragami, [help give me the idea on how her eyes be colored] Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Her hair and dark dress she wears in the third movie gave me ideas on what types of dresses she wear),
Kaila's eyes are drawn to appear to have no pupils. But instead, just simple rings in her eyes. It first started out as just a coloring style but then it started to become a constant. And after I saw Shinobu Kocho from Demon Slayer I decided that her eyes would be similar in how they're colored different from the other characters.

Her middle names were picked at random and were references to characters. But ironically many of them do fit her despite most of them picked at random. Trina was picked at random. Luciana was picked after Luciana from Barbie as the Island Princess [my second favorite Barbie movie] Fiammata is from Juliet Fiammetta Arst de Capulet in the Anime Romeo X Juliet [One of my most favorite animes]. Alicia was picked at random but is lightly inspired off Alice from Alice in Wonderland one of my favorite stories.. Rosalie was picked at random but is inspired off Rosella also from Barbie as the Island Princess. Genera is my middle name. And Sari was picked at random.
Kaila’s Alias is Weiss Black and is references to Snow White.

She arrived on earth first on Christmas time which is why she's called Carol.

Kaila is a reference to Snow White and Cinderella whereas Lila is inspired off Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast

Kaila’s personality is inspired off Ryoga Kamishiro, Kaito Tenjo, IV, Tron, from Yu-Gi-Oh! Kaila’s brother was the original villain and then her father then back to her brother, then to being to all of her brothers then back to her father and her brothers being controlled to finally it being her entire family being controlled by the DemonARK
Kaila’s mother was originally more like May-Lou’s mother and they were very close but I then thought it be fun to have an evil step mother type of mom. And so, their relationship was changed to be very strained.
Kaila originally only had 5 brothers then 7 then 17 and then 16.
Lila was originally only Pandora and was not her twin sister. I made Lila her twin sister because as time went on their relationship was becoming more sisterly-like and they practically were so I just changed it. And I thought it be nice if she had a sister in her sea of brothers.
Kaila's personality and flaws reflect half of the seven deadly sins. Wrath, gluttony, envy, and pride [the type one has in others] whereas Lila would reflect the others [Lust, greed, sloth, and pride]

Kaila Lacitieyen, also known as Weiss Black by most on earth, is the deuteragonist of Monogatari no Howloze. She is a rival/antagonist of Yuya and all of his friends. However, as time passes, she slowly becomes good friends with Yuya and his team. It is also later revealed that she is actually from a parallel world known as Howloze and is the princess of one of its kingdoms; Lacitieyen. She also has a twin sister Lila who she shares her body with. And because of this the personality of the two girls goes back and forth quite a bit. When first appearing in the series Kaila starts strong, quick-tempered smart, and very determined towards her goals. Going as far to being even cruel and ruthless at times. But as her past is revealed she is scene for what she really is which is quite cowardly, pathetic and desperate to save her family, friends, and home world at any cost.

Appearance- Kaila is a young woman of above average height [even being taller than some men her own age at times], with a slightly muscular yet slim build, pale skin, and decent chest size. She is most noted for her brilliant azure eyes and for her pitch-black hair both of which she inherited from her father as the appearance between the two, looks uncanny. Her hair is quite long, going down to her ankles while three long strands hang down in front of her face. These pieces are always pinned up to the left side where they fan out. The rest of her hair is usually left hanging down but it also sometimes worn in a braid or a half braid when she’s fighting.
Her attire changes quite often with a wide range of outfits, but her attire is always made up of black and white [or sometimes just black]. And mostly being gothic Victorian dresses or skirts with blouses. No matter which outfit she is wearing however she is always scene with some type of pair of gloves, something in her hair to keep her bangs up and a black choker [even if she is wearing a different necklace, she still wears that one underneath] which keeps her in her human form. And if she is not fighting, she wears white heart earrings, and make-up.

Her first outfit she scene in is a gothic lolita-style outfit which consist of a white blouse, black vest, black neck tie, black jacket with long x lacing going down the sleeves, a skirt with ruffles, black garder belts, long white stockings and tall black boots. She only wears this outfit on earth as she was told it was normal by someone she first met on earth.

However, her most common outfit [and the one featured here] is a h a white blouse, a black lace frill around the collar, an opal brooch, black vest, a black jacket, a long black skirt, white pants underneath and the same black boots. Also accompanying this outfit at times is a black hat. And her hair is also worn in a braid sometimes.

Her third most common outfit is the outfit she wears when fighting she consist of a white shirt, black tie, black short skirt, shorts underneath it, long black stockings, combat boots, gloves, vambraces, chest armor, and a long coat over it.

At Raven’s Port school she chooses to wear her own outfit instead of the usual uniform. This consist of gakuran styled uniform jacket, a dress shirt, a knee-length black pleaded skirt, thigh high stockings, and black penny loafers

Personality- Kaila has been noted to be an odd one by most, being quiet, awkward and always acting curious about things. She doesn’t like crowds or being around people at all. Keeping her contact with others short and brief before she goes off alone. Half of this being to her traumatic past but even before that she was marked to be a bit strange. However, she is very loyal and loving to those who earn it.

Prior to the war between Lacitieyen and Xaireyolf, Kaila was said to be more happy, wide eyed, and even rambunctious from time to time. Despite trying to be a proper young lady Kaila never could manage such things. She enjoyed playing with her father most of all and he was the only one who gave her any attention and care. However, once he left due too reasons that would be unknown to her for many of years: Kaila was left even more alone then ever which caused her to act out even more to gain further attention. Going as so far as teasing her brothers and others with live garden snakes, stealing their stuff and once even setting a bed on fire

Her loneliness also gave her a desire to do whatever her brothers or father did in hopes to get closer to them. And because of this she always would hang around and pester then whenever she could but because most of them were all busy and the other ones didn’t like it, she couldn’t hang around them nearly as much as she wanted too hardly at all. So, she was left once again to try and mimic their hobbies from a far. The things she enjoyed most were painting which she learned from her brother Amos and trying to follow in her father’s research on human biology. However, because of her curiosity she often got in trouble either through asking questions she shouldn’t or forgetting standards. When she was 6 years old, she dissected her pet rabbit her mother gave her after it died. Despite Kaila not being bothered by this at all and actually enjoying it she was quite sad when everyone told her it was creepy and sick of her to do so. This curiosity is something she bares with her even to this day. Having a strong desire to learn and better herself and maybe even help others.

However, after the war Kaila grew a lot quieter and shyer around people. Although she never liked being alone, she hates crowds and interacting with more than one person at a time unless she feels comfortable around them [such as Yuya and all of his friends and her own friends from her past but even then, if she’s with them all she can get drained quickly]. She also developed social anxiety disorder, has low confidence in her own strength, PTSD, fear of hospitals and ghost. And has great distrust for almost everyone even herself. The only ones she does trust seems to be Enzan and her sister Lila. Her trust in Enzan comes from a deep admiration and love for him. Her trust from Lila however, does not come out of love but simply because she knows her better than anyone. She finds it foolish to rely on anyone because even if they don’t mean to, they will always let you down sooner or later. These traits have left Kaila believing she is a cowardly, pathetic liar. She hates her own fears, desiring to change but every time she tries, she just ends up going back to being the way she was before which makes her hate herself even more. Despite that she always tries to fight out of a desire to keep her love ones safe to repay them for keeping her safe and being there for her. Her willingness to protect them and fight for them is very strong and as proven to be a detriment at time to time as she seems to forget about her own needs. But it can also be a positive as it keeps her going and takes her mind off of her own destructive thoughts.

Now Kaila has developed a bit more. Though still having all of her fears and social problems she tries to control them a bit more. Being more of a graceful and elegant persona who puts on a happy face [even if when it is a lie]. Because of this when people first meet her, she comes off as lady-like, fairly happy, cheery but is a bit strange, slightly she and spacy. But the more people stay around her the more she is revealed to be quiet, shy, blunt, depressingly realistic, cunning, and very hot tempered. Reacting in a vast manner of ways from yelling, to physically hurting, or even tearing up the room. She is also still very greatly untrusting towards many and has trouble having sure of her own strength. And is very envious of her sister’s strength and ability to function in groups. However even then Kaila is very loving, loyal, curious, woman who desires to be better [even though she has trouble with self-improvement]. She still loves to paint, and preform her scientific studies.

Abilities-Kaila has a varied number of skills, and abilities stemming from her blood line, the Dragon of Light and her own skills making her quite a powerful opponent. Her major flaw being her own insecurities and fears but when she pushes them down, she can be quite strong. The first set abilities are in her own blood line as members of the Lacitieyen Royal Family have slightly stronger immune systems, capability to adapt faster and strength greater than an average human. The second source from the Dragon of Light’s fragment seed inside of her which gives her increased speed, strength, regeneration, mental processing, and senses. She can also fully merge with it which gives her even more power. While merged she wears the “magical girl” dress, her strength, speed, and senses are more super human, and she can even fly for a decent amount of time. However, while flying she cannot carry as much weight and it will lessen her flying time. She however can only transform up to 24 times in the series due to the Power Level Limit the Dragon of Light put on it.

However, her most common power is Light Construction. A power that all of the Lacitieyen royal family possess Although Kaila’s seems to be on a whole entirely different level. [Due to her having the Dragon of Light inside her]. Like the other members Kaila can manipulate light into different types of holographic illusions or even make them into solid constructs. These constructs can take the shape and color of anything she desires; allowing her to make weapons, light chains that can attack or bind her foes, or even prisons. Since making many things from illusions to weapons, it allows her to go the defensive or offensive. However, these constructions go as far as 2 Km radius and the bigger and/or more elaborate the constructions are the more concentration and light it takes create. And if it's too big she can't focus on anything else [even her own movement could risk making her lose focus in making the constructs]. She also needs full daylight to make these larger constructions. These constructions are also not invincible and can be broken by a strong enough opponent. The Light Construction skill is something she can use even when not merged with the Dragon of Light as it is a family ability.

However even without her powers Kaila is very smart, very strong and fast to adapt and learn. And despite her selective memory from time to time she can remember most things quite well. She is a skilled painter, scientist [especially in the field of biology], and good at many of games. She is also skilled in western styled martial arts, swordsmanship, and pole arms.

Weapon-Kaila sometimes uses a one-handed European style sword however her most common weapon is a glaive-like weapon known as the Howloze Staff. The Howloze staff is an advanced weapon created by a team of scientist commissioned by the first emperor of Lacitieyen. Because of this it can only be used by one of his descendance. In its base form it takes the shape of thin silver liquid that hides in the user’s blood on a microscopic level and can be summoned when the users cut their right palm and wills it to come out. Once summoned it turns into a pole arm weapon that’s overall shape varies on which user. In Kaila’s case it takes the shape of a long glaive with a spade shape blade connected to a gold base that is set with a blue diamond shaped gem then then connects to another base which is a fairly large pink crystal. The blue crystal can send out energy blast made out of converted kinetic energy. Whereas the pink crystal can be used to direct chains made out of her light construction. Its shaft is silver and can actually stretch out as far as 5 meters and bend quite flexible. This allows the user the ability to target far away targets or ones that are around a sharp corner. In addition to this the staff can take the shape of varies things; such as an umbrella, walking cane, sword or tea cup.

Etymology- Kaila is "Hebrew and means "Crown of laurel”. Laurel crowns are a symbol that trace back to Greek mythology. Apollo is represented wearing a laurel wreath on his head, and wreaths were awarded to victors in athletic competitions, including the ancient Olympics. Kaila is a Champion in my series Monogatari no Howloze. And she as the power of an ancient dragon of light, which is considered to be a god by many in my Series Monogatari no Howloze. Kaila's name is also another name of lily that grows in her home kingdom that is known as the Lacitieyen Star Lily. Trina means chastise or pure. Andrea means a defender of mankind who is manly and strong. Luciana means Light, illumination or Light of Day. Fiammata means Blaze or to Burn Brightly. The name Genera means General, Generic and is of Latin origin. Sari means Princess. And her sir-name Lacitieyen something I created. It is supposed to be a take on La City Yen. [La being the French feminine word for “the’. The English word City. And yen which is a currency used in Japan]. It is the name of her Kingdom.

Voice/Mannerisms- Kaila’s voice is very deep to the point of almost sounding like a young man or a woman pretending to be a man at times. She usually speaks in a very formal monotone mannerism with polite honorifics, to the point where she shows hardly any familiarity, warmth, or humanity in it. She does this out of etiquette and formality not out of respect for the person she is talking to. However, when she is by herself, she uses more of a boyish way of referring to herself and others which is something she picked up from hanging around more men in her life then women. However even then she keeps her monotone voice and impersonal speech, only raising her voice when angered or embarrassed. When angered her voice booms at the start to being a bit more shrilled at the end, and when embarrassed her voice gets mumbled with brief squeals at the end. Outside of her friends and family from her past she refers to almost everyone she meets to by their surname; even then certain friends of hers are still referred to by their surname unless she is being sincerer.

Story-To long to write but here is the SHORT version [which in itself is already pretty long]

She was a princess of the kingdom of Lacitieyen in a world parallel to earth known as Howloze which is very similar to earth however quite different as spirits, demons, and ghouls run rampant there. She was the 18th child of Queen Kilala Lacitieyen and Consort Aldrich Beckford. She was also the younger twin sister to Lila Lacitieyen however shortly after the twins were born, Lila vanished. It was believed that she died but unknown to everyone Lila merged herself with Kaila due to some powers that Lila mysterious had been granted before she was even born. Because of this Lila always existed but Kaila merely thought she was an imaginary friend she created so she wouldn't be lonely due to all of her family being busy.

Besides that though, Kaila's life was a happy one for quite a while However two things disrupted it. When she was 6 years old, she got sick and was going to die. To save her, her father gave her a stone known as a fragment seed which held the powers of a powerful being known as Lacitieyen the Dragon of Light. This saved his dying daughter and she recovered. However later on in that year her father left the castle and she didn't see him for quite a while. It was during his absence when Kaila heard Lila's voice for the first time as it was his departure that made her feel the loneliest. The second thing to disrupted her happy life was when she was 7 years old her kingdom went to war with its sister kingdom Xaireyolf after the assassination of her mother. She escaped the war and went into hiding with 4 of her brothers.

A year later though, the oldest out of the 4 remaining brothers was killed and the other three were injured. Kaila was sent to a lab where she was experimented on in hopes of making her the perfect warrior to slay a creature known as the DemonARK which was an evil spirit that was prophesied to destroy all of Howloze. And she already had the powers of the Dragon of Light they believed she would be perfect for this task. Their end goal is the merge another fragment stone inside of her, this one being Xaireyolf the Dragon of Dark and they hope that both dragons’ powers will be enough to finally put a end to the DemonARK.

It was in this lab she met a young boy named Yue and his friend Mina. She became friends with them, but the scientist threatened to kill them if she would not go through with the project. Not wanting her friends to die she goes through with it but the scientist tries to kill Yue and Mina anyway however before they can, Yue and Mina vanish. After the experiment is over it is first thought that Kaila died during it but before the scientist could figure out how she died she vanished as well.

It turned out she is saved by her final 3 brothers Raphael, Isecar and Leo who have been looking for her ever since. Reunited with her brothers Kaila finally feels a sense of peace and happiness that she hand't felt for quite a while. She also meets Yuri Krasny a young man who is a friend her brothers met during the time they were looking for her, Dr. Hamilton, and Nurse Mei-Liu Change. All who become her friends as well and help her recover from her traumatizing time at the lab.

Things are quite well until the scientist from the lab finally find the Lacitieyen siblings. In their attempts to get Kaila back they try to kill her brothers and take her by force. However, like Yue and Mina, her brothers vanish in thin air and Kaila passes out. When she wakes up, she is at an orphanage and is told her brothers are dead. She then continues to stay there for a while until one night when the orphanage was under attack Kaila used powers to defend it. One of the boy’s was impressed by this and suggested Kaila should join the army to really do some good and defend people as she would be excellent for the task. Not wanting to be a victim all her life Kaila leaves the orphanage and set’s off to join the army.
After creating the identity Weiss Black and lying about her age Kaila joins the LDF (The Lacitieyen Defence Force) A division that simply protects the people from demons, ghouls and other wild beast. She then meets several other training cadets, Ray, Marianna, Allen, Declan, Min, Yumiko and Yumiko’s sister Momo. Over time she grows closer to them and when they graduate from training, they form a team which they accidently call Orange Pumpkin. And together they work to defend the people. During this time, she was re-meets Yuri Krasny after not seeing him since her brothers’ supposed death. She helps him in a situation and feeling indebted to her and wanting to help his friends’ little sister he decided to help look after her. He jokes at the idea of them having a servant and master relationship so it wouldn't seem like he's trying to take her brothers' place. She also finally tells her teammates who she really is and her backstory

Finally, Orange Pumpkin get their first real big mission which is to protect the Duke of Lacitieyen, Edmund and his brother Henry who are the last remaining members of the royal family. Kaila confesses that he is actually a distant relative of hers and she was once in an arranged marriage to him before the war. She then reconnects with him, his brother and Sora, his body guard who also use to be Kaila’s friend when she lived at the castle. Edmund offers Kaila to come back to live in the capital with them to which Kaila confesses she will think of much to her team's disapointment. Before she can decide though Edmund, Henry, and Sora are supposedly killed which leaves Kaila devastated. Her teammates are also demoted as it is viewed by all that they failed their mission. A couple of months later they are given a holiday. They all decide to go back to their families at each of their home towns but when they realize Kaila would be alone, they decide to leave one day later to spend some time with her. Because they stayed behind, the team is requested to do a quick search on a village whose residents strangely all vanished before they leave which they agree to. Kaila begs her friends to just leave fearing they might die like the rest of her family but they promise her it will be fine. The next day they take a look around and almost come up empty but at the last minute a demon attacks them all. Before they each are killed, they instead disappear just like all the rest. Believing her friends’ died Kaila is once again left alone in despair.
Sometime after, she quits the LDF and just stays on her own. Not to long after that though she receives a letter which informs her she inherited a manor, a great sum of money, and title from Edmund. She then moves into her new manor with Yuri Krasny {who now goes by Enzan Reno} per Kaila’s request. Kaila then lives a quite life in her manor, as time passes, she gains to more servants named Lapis and Laizar, and also a pet bird known as Sevastyan. She also gets a job as a scientist but even then she remains locked up in her manor as that is all she wishes from her life from now on.

However, everything changes when she finally comes face to face with Lila. The voice she’d heard in her head ever since she was 6 years old not only reveals itself to be real but is in fact her sister Lila. Lila then tells her she must stop the DemonARK which is finally awakened and will destroy all of Howloze. And it is the request of the Dragon of Light and the Dragon of Dark that she stops. She at first once no part of it and tells Lila to do it herself; to which they inform her it must be both Kaila and Lila as Kaila can only use Lacitieyen’s power and Lila can only use the Dragon of Dark as that is who they’re each connected too. To give her some motivation they inform her that her friends and family, Yue, Mina, Raphael, Isecar, Leo, Edmund, Henry, Sora, Min, Yumiko, Momo, Daniel, Allen, Marianne, and Ray are still all alive as Lila saved each one of them before they died by turning them into demons. With the possibility of getting her beloved family back, and saving her world from the fate of being destroyed by the DemonARK Kaila then sets off on a journey to make things right. This journey soon takes her to earth where she meets, Yuya, Minako, Reggie, Mari, Edward, Alex, Daniel, Sky, Steven, Critas, Mer, Matt, Yuriko, Richey, and Moriko who all remind her deeply of her love ones from Howloze and she befriends them. However, she soon discovers that her journey has led her down a path in becoming the enemy of her new friends on earth as the only way to save her old friends and world she must destroy her new ones. Wanting nothing more than to save her love ones and home world Kaila has made her self the enemy towards Yuya and his friends; but how far is she willing go in this act before consciences stops her and Yuya finds out.

Kaila is my second oldest OC being made in 2011. She was original known as May-Lou Kaila. A perky photographer who was inspired off Carly Nagisa from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds. Her name was inspired off Mayl Sakurai from Megaman Nt. Warriors and Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! Dual Monsters. But over time she started going through drastic changes, so I made May-Lou Kaila into Kaila Lacitieyen. A quiet, strong tragic princess who likes science now only wears black.

Kaila’s design is inspired off Design Carly Nagisa from Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds [she gave me the idea for May-Lou who later became Kaila], Kilala Reno from Kilala Princess [Kaila's face is completely inspired off of Kilala's], Fuya/Robin from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL [inspired her side bangs], Maka Albarn from Soul Eater [Kaila's black trench coat comes from her and detective in Noir films], Akame from Akame Ga Kill [Inspired her adventure outfit, her long black hair and how it would work] V/Christopher Arclight FROM Yu-Oh! Kaila's eyes are drawn to appear to have no pupils. But instead, just simple rings in her eyes. It first started out as just a coloring style but then it started to become a constant. And after I saw Shinobu Kocho from Demon Slayer I decided that her eyes would be similar in how they're colored different from the other characters.

Her middle names were picked at random and were references to characters. But ironically many of them do fit her despite most of them picked at random. Trina was picked at random. Luciana was picked after Luciana from Barbie as the Island Princess [my second favorite Barbie movie] Fiammata is from Juliet Fiammetta Arst de Capulet in the Anime Romeo X Juliet [One of my most favorite animes]. Alicia was picked at random but is lightly inspired off Alice from Alice in Wonderland one of my favorite stories.. Rosalie was picked at random but is inspired off Rosella also from Barbie as the Island Princess. Genera is my middle name. And Sari was picked at random.
Kaila’s Alias is Weiss Black and is references to Snow White.

She arrived on earth first on Christmas time which is why she's called Carol.

Kaila is a reference to Snow White and Cinderella whereas Lila is inspired off Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast

Kaila’s brother was the original villain and then her father then back to her brother, then to being to all of her brothers then back to her father and her brothers being controlled to finally it being her entire family being controlled by the DemonARK
Kaila’s mother was originally more like May-Lou’s mother and they were very close but I then thought it be fun to have an evil step mother type of mom. And so, their relationship was changed to be very strained.
Kaila originally only had 5 brothers then 7 then 17 and then 16.
Lila was originally only Pandora and was not her twin sister. I made Lila her twin sister because as time went on their relationship was becoming more sisterly-like and they practically were so I just changed it. And I thought it be nice if she had a sister in her sea of brothers.
Kaila's personality and flaws reflect half of the seven deadly sins. Wrath, gluttony, envy, and pride [the type one has in others] whereas Lila would reflect the others [Lust, greed, sloth, and pride]
