Long ago on the planet Mobius, the planet was full of life and everything living there was a peaceful and perfect paradise between land and sea. The ones maintaining that peace and watching the inhabitants on land was the beloved sea goddess named Varuna who lived in a palace-like shrine known as the Temple of a Thousand Seas on an mystic skerries island filled with beautiful shells and floating lights that ascends to the sky.

Until one day, the great sea monster Zaleron appeared from the depths of the ocean and covered the world with an eternal storm that nearly wiped all of the land and it’s inhabitants on it with a very strong flood. Varuna used her strength to keep the monster from harming anymore by forming a deal between gods, the landers get to stay on their lands and fish along the shorelines as long as they don’t go past the reef where the current is strong and in return Zaleron won’t bring harm the landers and wipe away any lands left standing. Varuna accepted the monster’s request and Zaleron vanished into the dark abyss of the seas of Mobius.

Those who survived the invasion, Varuna had them settled on a piece of land where they can live and thrive without the stormy weather causing havoc for the landers and that no one disturbs the sea monster on their territory. With the deal at hand, things back then were fine until the settlers wanted voyage out into the waters and Varuna have told them that they can’t go out into the sea because the sea monster is out there and the waters are dangerous.

Varuna heard the people if she could ask if the dragon could only let a few boats cross the Mobian waters to build more population on the planet for the land they live on is getting a bit crowded for them. After a bit of discussion, Zaleron allowed some of the boats to travel across the sea to look for new land to settle on while the rest remain on the island Varuna gave to them. After the first batch of voyagers left, Varuna saw that there was nothing left to do but to return to her home while the landers continued their work and their biddings over the years.

As years go by for Varuna’s return, a desire for freedom leads to a rebellion as the people became greedy and asked Varuna if they can travel the waters freely from one island to another as much as they like but the sea goddess said that she doesn’t want to anger her friend and declined their offer. Soon enough, the people started to rebel against Varuna and started to travel onto the sea monster’s territory legend says that crossing its treacherous waters can send an entire ship to be crushed by the destructive waves Zaleron created leaving many people to die out on the sea.

Upon the making of the Pearls, Zaleron made contact with the relics and became corrupted and started to attack the islands one by one leaving nothing behind. When Varuna saw Zaleron’s corruption, she was left with no choice but to battle her friend once again by using the Pearls of Eldoris to protect what land was left across the planet and save the world from being covered in a blanket of water. So with one final breath, Varuna used the Pearls to trap her beloved friend into the dark sea of Mobius where they will stay there for all eternity.

Saddened from her decision, Varuna couldn’t keep the pearls of Eldoris with her for she was scared that someone will go into her home and awaken the monster to release them from their prison beneath the sea. As a token on her behalf, the sea goddess chose seven people to give the seven pearls and with that, the seven became a group called the Council of Pelagic or the Council of the Sea, these leaders will have a role to protect and serve their home from what we know today as The Nation of Palmona from anyone who stands to fight their country in battle.

For centuries till the present, the leaders continued to protected the pearls of Eldoris and hidden them in unknown locations across Palmona to keep those from retrieving them and obtaining their power. Legend says that in order to unlock the secrets behind them you must obtain the key known as the Heart of the Sea to achieve control over their power.

Today in the present, Palmona gained a ruler and the nation remains as the Land of Peace and Tranquility as many stories that happened there are remembered and cherished by many and as for Zaleron, the beast still remains in their prison someplace around the Sea of Mobius waiting to be awakened from their tomb to cause chaos and destruction once more.
