And I just kept doing this...
I borrowed hairstyles from other Gainax Girls: I gave "Kaoru" Haruko's hair because it seemed to fit, and I gave "Shiki" Nadia's hair because even Sadamoto joked that Nadia and Shinji had the same face.
I really want to do Misato and Ritsuko, too. >_>

Of course Shinji was base of from Nadia. But how about this pic. This is Sadamoto's other work that resemble EVA. And she look more like Shinji. [link] But he's not the only one that took some characters formula. [link] And for more irony. The teacher in the movie has to same seiyuu as Gendo Ikari.

The girl who leapt through time is actually a good movie. Sadamoto does other work rather than with Gainax. I think he did Summer wars too, but I didn't watch it yet.

I can't blame you, most of the anime todays are constantly focus on Slice of Life anime like high school and fan service. But there are STILL good anime right now. Like Madoka Magica, Mirai Nikki, Angel Beats (kinda slice of life, but really it's more shounen and sad anime), Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, and of course Code Geass.
