oils on canvas this is a companion piece to "on the outside." this is how i feel inside. dark and wild, crazy (i'm bi-polar), disturbing, hateful, dramatic.this means a lot to me. it's about my identity. i didn't know how i would express my idea and i thought of the emotions i feel above and just started painting. this is what came pouring out. i felt driven to paint it and it was a bit of a shock, it turned out almost violent.

yes, i wanted it to! i was very angry, very unhappy, very frustrated, very disappointed and i wanted to get that out. i'm bi-polar so sometimes i feel like that painting. but i feel i have to hide that. most people don't understand. thanks, i'm glad you liked it!

I think it's great that you are able to express your emotions in this painting. I'm a little bit hesistant when showing my emotions in my artwork.

this one is very raw and it was hard to share it because it is so negative and i don't like to admit that i feel that way a lot, but it worked out that it expressed what i wanted to say so well, i decided it was ok to share it. it is really scary to put one's emotions out there for everyone to see. i am an extremely emotional person, and so if i don't express that, i don't have much to say!

Oh, you really think it's so negative? You see this flesh-colored spot in the middle of the painting? As I first looked at it, I saw an embryo. It looked very small and vulnerable. Then around the embryo it goes really wild and crazy. I really think that this painting has a vulnerable touch.
Don't know if this makes sense for you (my english is not so good). Just wanted to share my thoughts with you

your english is excellent, i really wouldn't have thought it wasn't your first language!
that's a really interesting interpretation. i suppose one could look at it and think here is this seed that is the core of the person and it's safe inside a wild, colorful person.
the flesh colored part was intended to be my stomach because sometimes i suffer from a lot of stomach pain. i guess the fiery hair is quite pretty and i guess that might show that i'm a colorful and bold personality. this is great, i love having a happier way to look at the painting. it's amazing what different sorts of things one takes from other people's art. that's one reason i want to share artwork here, to see all these different interpretations that people have. thanks!!

When I was writing the last post I looked at your painting once more and then I figured out that the embryo was meant to be a stomach

oh that's rotten that you have those troubles too. it just seems like all i can focus on is my stomach when it hurts like that, i can't think of anything else. i take medicine for it and it's waaaaay worse if i don't, but it doesn't solve my problem.
