Description
Download for full-view.Character concepts, mostly for my own reference on clothes, proportions etc.
Starting from left, the characters are Belinn, Korr, Donar, Minta, Jun-Han, Fauna and Constantin.
I'm hoping to do a comic featuring them all sometime over the summer and submit it for the next Finnmanga, but we'll see how that goes.
And yes, they are to scale. Donar is supposed to be tall, while Conny is... a runt.
Edit Oct. 18th, 2009: A few hue/saturation adjustments and fixed the background a little to get rid of all that god-awful negative space that was bugging me.

It's okay. She was modeled after Beast Boy in the beginning. That's probably a stigma she'll carry for the rest of her existence, but I'm okay with that.

I like the set up, the heights and colors. I wonder, if I'd thought that Minata's skin tones were reversed (dark face and white eye patches) does that make me racist or something? Or is it a good thing that we can apply our own selves to pictures you create? Deep questions, I know.
(And for some reason I always pictured her "hair" as blue. Reminds me of Draenai I guess.

White skin and dark face? Why not, actually I think it would work for her.
Not so sure about the blue hair, but yeah, I guess there's a bit of draenei in her, too.

We are all inspired by the things around us, so it's only natural. Inspiration is not theft - As I've mentioned to those who think my Espy character is a rip of Wolverine because she has the claws ...
(Actually that came from Shadowrun - whose creators might have been inspired by Logan, but we're not telling anyone about that.

Oh, don't get me started. Every time I post a pic of Fauna I'm dreading the "that's a ripoff"-comments, even though I've so far gotten thankfully little of those.
Heck, I doubt I have a single character that wouldn't be inspired by something I've seen.
(And yea, it's actually almost funny how many originality-purists there are in the amateur artist communities when the people doing it for a living are constantly borrowing ideas back and forth.)

It's almost sad, I tried to draw her with normal skin tone, but it's just... not her, you know?
