a speedpainting of Kurt Bissel (sp?) to try and get back control of my mind D: having some issues tonight with voices x.x so i decided to paint to try and focus... didnt make a sketch first so thats why its not very interesting P: i wanted to draw Kurt, though. him and Malik have become favorite characters in Tales of Graces :V i wish i could draw men. i guess theyll give me a reason to seriously try? i wish there were more about their backstory in the game :/ theres ALWAYS more to stories about old friendships. ALWAYS. hopefully, there will be backstory novels for Graces like there were for Abyss and Graces... id totally get one about the Fendel revolutionaries *.* Fendel is the most interesting of the countries to me haha. i wanted a communist country in a Tales game... thus the birth of Gangnyeok in #Tales-of-Nexus project... so it was cool to actually have one o.O i laughed at the Fendel Tower xD it reminded me a lot of the one hotel in North Korea... where it was all fancy on the outside but an unfinished piece of junk on the inside.but maybe i have something for these stories about old friends since of my own OCs, my current obsession is Kaejung and Matthew, which is also about two old friends who havent seen each other in many years ((though their reasons for being friends and why they split are totally different xD)). i guess its the type of story im in the mood for right now...?
i havent beaten Graces yet, so dont spoil me on anything <_> i am at the part after returning to Ephinea so i have the flying thing and doing backtracking/sidequests for a bit. though its not like the story is that great anyway V: Fodra was a bit of a bummer for me... why do the whole "oh, there is another planet/world" plot device again? xD already done that in Eternia and then again in Symphonia, but oh well, the battle system kicks ass. i liked the story better before the Fodra thing... now idk if i will even keep track of it or not and just continue to master the battle system xD id rather learn more about the Fendel characters o: when it comes to story stuff, anyway.
sorry about the boring pose and stuff... i havent been feeling well and i havent been doing enough art OTL my health knocked me a bit out of routine so im trying to get back into it again and do better poses D: *still a total n00b with human arts*

Oh, wow, no one draws Kurt... he looks really smexy here. Maybe a little too young? Whatevs, he looks smexy. And the background gives a really nice lonely, icey feeling. Props. o:

It's tough; especially anime style where everyone's face is so smooth. Putting in a wrinkle here or there tends to just look like a stray mark or something.

i like the coloring technique you used ^^ it makes the "boring" pose not look nearly so and gives it a kind of dynamic appearance

ah the voices x___x ,mine are always crying or shouting abuse at me or I hear desperate arguments and screams of pain,their so nasty

I really like the effects in this one ,kinda reminds me of wartime lol like ash falling from the sky and the whiteness of the background like its a flash of a bomb and Kurts clothes look rather military or maybe it can also be dream-like with the dotted frame and how everything sept him is rather faded, I think your getting better with older people ,he looks mid 20's? to me and i know nothing about Graces so idk if he is or not (doesn't want to spoil any details for that game) but yah just keep working on them and it will just become natural to you,the pose is a bit blah but i think for this image it suits it xD plus for something drawn quickly it's super nice and i wish i had some talent to speedpaint humans without it looking like some little kid who never drew before took a pen and scribbled on paper :'D

my voices typically arent that mean, though i havent heard them in quite a long time... maybe over a year or so idk. mine tend to just repeat the same few words over and over again and theyre always commands for me doing something, even if i dont wanna. ah well... i went to bed and they were gone when i woke up. hopefully, it will be a long time ((or never)) before they return.
thanks! yeah, the pose is so lame gah xD i might not have posted it at all if it wasnt for my lack of recent uploads OTL i agree he looks like hes in his 20s here... but i think hes supposed to be like 40 LOL. ah well, ill do better next time xD i think this character needs more fanart. its like all hes known for is being one of the hardest boss fights in the game xD but he has a story, too... one that i liked.

lol i get that when im unwell ,like that elvis voiced dude telling me to go to the north pole or go upstairs when i was already upstairs and he'd keep demanding it over and over V: he'd get very loud if i ignored him but how the heck am i supposed to comply to those orders? xD
but the pose suits the image though >u< so it makes it less boring? and tbh Tales isn't the best at making characters look their age anyway/shot :'D it's hard to guess them unless they are really young or really old eUe or at least for me?,at least he doesn't look 15 and im sure you will continue to improve with them,art can't be learned overnight and is a forever changing thing,I can't wait to get Graces f O: won't be long now ! my brother says that he doesn't really like it but it looks fun to play :'D .

Honestly, the Fodra thing kinda ruined it for me, but it's still good. Instead of being super into the story, I got more into the characters and all that.
I'm not sure if you have Tales of Graces F

thanks xD well thats good someone likes my Tales fanart, since there will be more later |D though hopefully better *shot* yeah i have the F version since i recently bought a PS3 xD im just derping and looking for all the sidequests i possibly can now that i can fly around and not have to walk everywhere. battle system-wise, its definitely becoming a favorite, up there with Destiny PS2
