Description

What if, besides the House sigil, each Targaryen Monarch had their own personal coat of arms?

Aegon III:

Aegon III's COA's is all about unity. At the top of the sigil you find a Black and a Green dragon opposite to each other. Both dragons are bowing their heads to the central sigil, a Red Dragon Head crowned with Aegon the Conqueror's Steel and Ruby Crown. This signifies both sides of the Dance of the Dragons coming together in fealty to the undeniably legitimate Targaryen monarch, one of the last "dragons" left. The choise of the Conqueror's crown over Aegon III's more modest golden circlet is really to emphasize his rightful position as an heir to Aegon I.

Bellow the dragons there's the Seahorse sigil of House Velaryon, signifying Queen Daenera Targaryen, who was extremely close to the King, and the seven-pointed rainbow star of the Faith. The latter is a symbol of Aegon as a defender of the faith, meant to strenghten his place as a ruler with some old fashioned divine right.

Surrounding the shield you find multiple instances the red three headed Targaryen Dragon upon black, doubled with the silver seahorse of House Velaryon. This is both meant to emphasize Queen Daenera's impact on Aegon's rule as we as a nod of respect to House Velaryon, so essential in the Civil War and now much diminished (but still influential).
