How do we know that Flareon x Shinx was even a thing when they never produced an egg together themselves? The way I see it, Flareon x Shinx was just yet another crazy shipping that all fandoms have, and Flareon x Bibarel is probably the real thing.

Of course, that's assuming Pokemon physically lay eggs, which has never been canonically proved anyway (except perhaps in the case of Chansey/Blissey, who produce presumably unfertilized eggs for Softboiled and Egg Bomb -- I say "presumably" unfertilized because none of them have ever lasted long enough to hatch). The only time we've seen eggs physically created is when Arceus re-creates one of the Creation Trio within the Sinjoh Ruins.
