haha, no, he put the book in front of his face cause we were taking pictures for his portfolio and we couldnt hang that on the wall so he held it over his face and wanted to have his bandana in the shot and stuff.

how did you set up the lighting for this? was it just one diffused light straight in front of you/him?

two strobes with soft boxes, one of the left was parallel to his face 45 degrees off to the side, one on the right was slightly above pointing down at a 45 as well.

well i guess that this symbolism is pretty good...
and the way you took the photograph is pretty nice too...the light is great and the colors support that lifeless unwritten atmosphere...
for me it's the impression of somebody without an own identity...he's an unwritten book without a story to tell
