Its gotta be the right kind of pen though, nothing fancy or flashy, something like this would be perfect. [link] - Thats what I use, they're called Hybrid gel grip pens and they'll make your lines really smooth and clear like this [link]

You might find gel pens get the job done much better than pencils as long as you can draw without making mistakes

Hey can I offer some advice, see if you can find some black 'gel' pens from a stationary store. anywhere that sells pens should have them.
They're pretty cheap but should easily solve your problem and make line art a lot easier.
