I love this Beautiful craftmanship of Cowboy Bebop! This is one of my all-time favorite animes, if not the best. I miss the show so much.

So did you ever make the life size one? And if so how much would it cost to buy one?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

metal-otaku In reply to Undeadsleeper [2011-02-13 20:19:08 +0000 UTC]

haven't had the funds to do the life size one nor a way to transport it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Undeadsleeper In reply to metal-otaku [2011-02-13 20:40:44 +0000 UTC]

If I was able to to pick it up and transport it myself how much would you need in advance for materials and how much would the final price be? And what would be the difference between painted and unpainted?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

metal-otaku In reply to Undeadsleeper [2011-02-13 21:19:00 +0000 UTC]

well out of 24ga they can't stand alone and have to be proped on something or i can put a bend in it like my large cowboy for each character to atleast not fold over and collaspe.

out 16 they wouldn't cave in on it's self but it's alot more

jet life size would be $150, spike and faye $100 each and i could do ed and ein for like $100 together. in 24ga.

in 16ga i'd have to double the price. price includes basic painting a solid color.

and i could do it on half upfront. half on pick up

Undeadsleeper In reply to metal-otaku [2011-02-13 21:39:30 +0000 UTC]

So I'd have to do the 24 gauge. The 16 is a little out of my price range. I plan to nail them to the wall so I don't think I need to worry about them falling. So they are not connected together? If so I would like to just go two at a time. Spike and Faye first, then Jet and Ed after. Let me know how this sounds to you. Hope I'm not making things to difficult for you. I'm going to work. I'll respond again tonight or tomorrow, until then later

my cutting table is only 4ft by 8ft you can't do the whole thing life size as one piece.

i can do just a few at a time. that works. do you need holes to have the nail go through? or anything?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Undeadsleeper In reply to metal-otaku [2011-02-15 02:26:14 +0000 UTC]

I was just making sure ^_^ I don't need holes because I'm putting the nails around them and not through them. I'd like to just do one at a time.

Spike #1
Faye #2
Edward #3
Jet #4

About how long does it take to finish one? If you can get Spike & Faye done before A&G I'll bring them along for you to show off if you want. I can pay for each one every 2 weeks apart. (When I get my pay checks) Just let me know. Hope to hear from you again soon.

poor jet, dead last. man gets no love.

well as of tomorrow my machine is down for the rest of the week.

and as long as the weather holds up i can have them done in a day or 2. (after machine is up and running again)

if it's to cold outside though, the paint freezes, and if it's raining i can't paint either.

but yeah i could have them done by then if you'd want to bring them. i can even ask the conchair he might have a safe place you could place them were everyone could see or get pictures or something if they wanted.

and i understand. i get paid every two weeks too.

LOLZZZ! freaking epic hey how you do all of this stencils??
btw all of them look epic!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

metal-otaku In reply to VanityKat [2010-07-02 14:18:01 +0000 UTC]

they are all made of metal and cut with a plasma cutter. and they aren't really stencils. a stencil is used to make art. this is the art.

You know... you claim that that there were a lot of f*ck ups with this piece, but from this scale, I have to say that I don't see too many of them. It might be because of the size of this piece, but I think there's a good combination between the larger spaces and the smaller details. So... I'm going to say that this piece stands pretty damned good as it does now.

Good job.
P.S.:And you're right. Who doesn't love Bebop?
