Cirque Du Monster AU - How it all began
The Underground used to have a legend of a creature from above that would leave the Underground empty. Some thought of this creature as an angel that would free them, others said it was an angel of death that would end their suffering.
In the end, it was an angel of death who freed them by breaking the Barrier with six human souls and a lot of Determination.
None of the monsters knew that humans were able to pass the Barrier however they wished, but when Chara found out they sneaked off to the surface to collect one human soul after another, pretending that they got them from children who died falling into the Underground.Part 1 - you're here
