Description By the time of the Phobos Incident, the Gallant had proven itself as a reliable and flexible MS, but it was still limited as a primarily ground-based combat system. Using the Gallant for Airborne or Zero-Gravity Combat as it is functionally impossible without drastic and extensive modifications to the point where  designing a new frame with the intent of operating in those environments.

The S13D was designed as a Multi-use platform with the primary use of acting as an 'extension' to the Gallant in order to allow it to fight without any modifications in Zero-G and Sub-Orbital environments. The S13D Is built around a powerful thruster array along with some light armor, a small pilot/passenger/cargo compartment and a medium weapon mount. The S13D features special docking equipment for the Gallant that allows it to maintain a fairly wide range of motion with it's arms and torso to help compensate for the lack of environment specific equipment.

Although it isn't strictly considered a combat craft in of itself it is often armed with a Grenade Launcher when paired with a Gallant due to the utility of the various ammunition types available

This is an older design but I had a lot of fun coming up with all these little vignettes! Everything was designed in Lego Digital Design and then rendered in LDD-2-POVray.

I'll be featuring this Solar War Design and others in some upcoming short stories and other works as well.

Yup, this was made with Lego Digital Designer and then rendered with a 3rd party program called LDD to POV-Ray .

Well all of these are capable of being built physically. I never had a very large collection growing up so when I got back into LEGO 4-5 years ago I didn't have much to build with so I came up with a system where I designed everything digitally, using the BrickLink Parts Catalogue to make sure all the parts come in the colors I needed, and then ordering the parts off Bricklink and building them. I even Built a SHIP (Super Huge Investment of Parts) this way. For the Solar War stuff I never got around to building all of the designs but I did to the Basic Gallant and the Underlying Frame so between that and my experience I'm confident that everything is easily doable if you have the parts.

Then you're fortunate to have access to such a collection.
