I've never had it happen with a starter pick but when you trade a pokemon to someone, they must have the appropriate badges otherwise the pokemon will be disobedient.Β

Remember kids, always press the B button to cancel the evolution if you have too little badges to handle your pokemon. Your charmeleon might just be acting like a bratty teenaged arsonist right now, but just imagine what it might do when it's big enough to swallow you.
