Woah, a non parallelism map? Who Mossaded Marklin? Anyhow, This is kinda sorta a remake of my older map "LMAO." I have a policy regarding most of my pre-2020 work: Unless stated otherwise, they don't exist in my mind. This map is basically just a compilation of a bunch of funny future prediction ideas I've read over the past few years, but particular inspirations come from "Europe in 2022" from Yanko Tsvetkov's Atlas of Predjudice, Nowpunk by The-Artist-64, Uncyclopedia, Whatifalthist and AlexanderNorth's Nothing Happens in South America map.

The year is 2109, the Second Cold War between Turkey and China continues to boil. The two old superpowers are borderline third world nations at this point, both pariahs after being blamed for the horrible state of the world today. While things have been quiet for decades, tensions are once more rising, and war will most likely break out soon.

North America is a shattered place, and the starting point of the Reaper virus. The Reaper Virus was created by a private military organization for use in the mideast, but it's release by Chinese agents (unbeknownst to the world) would result in a zombie apocalypse breaking out. The first world, with it's crowded cities and polarized atmosphere, struggled terribly against the hordes, with many choosing to point the finger and blame their foes rather than actually solve the problem. And after one too many crappy releases from Disney, the former United States finally broke in two. Standing tall over the continent is the Great American(TM) Empire. Under the rule of Emperor Donald, a program to truly make America great again came about by completely withdrawing America from all global affairs, with the exception of their friendship with the Putin monarchy, as well as the seizure of Greenland to fullfill the Emperor's vanity. Needless to say, the new America is a whole lot whiter in more ways than one, with a strong anti-immigrant streak, and a reactionary mindset.

The empire is a rotten and decaying nation. The university system was gutted and placed under heavy scrutiny. Lack of immigration means that the poor are forced to work in gilded age conditions. Many programs were put in place that the gerontocracy were sure would solve everything, but in truth only made things worse, such as ripping up the welfare system and declaring compulsory health checks "too oppressive," making the American empire one of the few places where Zombies are a persistent problem, despite the propaganda machine saying otherwise. The only people guaranteed healthcare and good living are said gerontocracy, who devour resources like a pack of wolves at the cost of younger generations, many of whom flee to Ankara or Beijing in hopes of opportunity.

Rivalling the American Empire is the Democratic Republic of North America. While lacking contiguous borders, they claim to share a common government that refuses to reunify with the Empire, while also claiming the Empire's lands. Under the rule of the old democratic party, the Democratic Republic is doing it's darndest to mimic early 21st-century Scandinavia, but the situation they are currently in makes that quite difficult. For one, many don't like to eat bugs, not that they have much of a point seeing how many of the staples of the old American diet are slowly going extinct and largely only available to the upper classes. The lack of an efficient police force also means that crime is a persistent issue as well. The empire would take them back, but China has threatened to intervene if they do anything, and the PLA's finest are stationed right in California. And in the Northwest, The Emperor decided to do away with the White Nationalists under his wing by giving them their ethnostate. The state is whites only and strongly traditional and fundamentalist...or at least they claim. Within a year they classified the Japanese as white, and then all Asian women were allowed in, and nowadays anyone they like is considered white. Lastly, there is Vermont, which was taken over by Berniebros and has become something akin to China during the Cultural Revolution mixed with Pol Pot. The Empire wants to intervene to stop it, but China has guaranteed their protection.

Canada was hit hard by the Zombies as well, only being saved when European, American, and Chinese forces swooped in to save the day. Of course, once it became clear those forces were there to stay, things got a little bit more dour. Of course, it's better than being the South American Wasteland. No one exactly knows what the fuck happened here, but satellites show static over the entire continent. People dissappear when they go too far into the quarantine zone, where people end up finding themselves suddenly sent back in time to a South America of the past, with no way to escape but to live out their lost lives.

Europe found itself once more split between East and West, as always seems to happen whenever someone tries to unify the continent. In the west, the Turks have a friend in the form of the Merkelreich. The prophesied fourth reich is here, although it is quite more liberal than most would have imagined. Declared in the hall of mirrors with it's new capital in Paris, state liberalism is the norm here, or more specifically, everything that the American Empire isn't. While second world compared to the big two, it is still mildly better off compared to the former US, although most could do without the mixture of neoliberalism and feudalism. To the east, the old European Union remains, but now under the Russian Yoke. With one half of Europe under the German yoke, and the other Russian, it seems that the European Union's purpose has well and truly failed. Russia itself remains a paragon of traditional christian values while also being backwards and having a government that behaves in ways that the church would vomit at. They're secure in their alliance with the Americans after the royal wedding between their families, but like the Americans, they are third world by the standards of the superpowers. Startups are liable to be burned down by corrupt officials or kneecapped by the mob. And when war inevitably breaks out, they will surely become a warzone, with their pathetic military stuck in the early 21st century.

The two superpowers are paradoxes in and of themselves. Both modern yet archaic, and both largely untouched by the zombie apocalypse. Both are strong enough that their troops can enter the weaker powers like Russia and America with impunity if it means taking out people they view as a threat. In China, the Party eschews ideals of progress and moving away from archaic traditions of the past, yet the party has become an imperial court in and of itself, the elite the nobility, and the President yet another emperor. Many of the "future ways" are merely old Chinese ways brought back to the modern day, with many in the now Chinese-owned third world being superstitious. China became so wealthy and powerful that they began to buy entire countries, offering deals that couldn't possibly be refused, effectively owning much of Africa. Of course, many do come to try and get opportunity in China, although few non-ethnic Chinese are actually granted citizenship, only getting second-class citizen status, although those who are especially talented have an easier time. The Chinese army also possesses the most advanced weapons in the world, in the form of accurate lasers and other space age nightmares.

Turkey is similar, a fabulously wealthy nation that seemingly got lucky. After the chaos of the 21st century saw Iran and Saudi Arabia destroy themselves, Ankara found itself the last man standing, simply moving in and restoring order to the region as the west withdrew into their own muck. The massive oil wealth allowed them to become very rich and even start buying politicians in other nations. This combined with their current lead in the second space race secures their power. The Turks are secular, but also have branded themselves as defenders of Islam and other Peoples of the Book from the Atheistic Chinese. Their main weapon, however, are the janissaries. Created from people in the Turkish colonial territories, The Turks recruited children at a young age and turned them into elite cyborg supersoldiers after a decade of harsh training, creating the finest soldiers in the world. While these soldiers are the Turks trump card, the Chinese still have the overall superior technology. The Turks do have the advantage of being more open to those who want to get away from the west compared to their Chinese rivals, with Turkish, like Chinese, now being a major lingua francia in place of English.

Global Warming continues, crime rates skyrocket outside of the two superpowers main centers of power, and advance technology has begun to dominate all aspects of life, leaving the world with a very cyberpunk feel. The Weather is getting drearier in the former superpowers, with the west seemingly being in the process of comitting suicide. It's hard to tell what may happen next, but it looks like the next war may just be fought in space...
