I think the new animation looks great, but unfortunatley every freaking comment shows people bitching and moaning about how the thing doesn't meet thier so-called 'demands' to HiT.

I know, I saw this Thomas halloween short where it's based upon the Slender man game. Thomas tells Percy about the Slender Engine and says that he's the reason so many engines go missing and are never seen again. Like Duke and Stepney and all the one-off characters HIT introduced. It's a joke to how old engines such as Duke, Stepney, Daisy, BoCo, Duck, Oliver, Toad and Old Slow Coach are rarely seen and HIT introduces a character for the theme and sake of the episode and is never seen again. And to think that Daisy, BoCo, Duck, Stepney, Oliver, Toad, Donald, Douglas, Bill and Ben appeared SO many times in the Railway Series and it's annuals.

I still think the Earl should have been using Duke as his private engine, but at least we have a narrow gauge engine that'll have a decent role, even if it is a new character. Interesting basis too; it's French.
