DRARVAE and its evolutions are based on Fairy Dragons, [ wiki.rageofbahamut.com/images/… ]. Fairy Dragons are normally small insect-like dragons that are companions to Fairies, they can sometimes have Fairy powers of their own.
DRARVAE and its evolutions are also based on the life cycle of a Butterfly.
