My friend from Banda Ache, Thailand saw something similar to that scythe with strings except gold and ornate. I believe it was an old folk instrument he told me, a relative of his said that it disappear after the Tsunami aftermath in 04. Kinda suck because he wanted to buy it from a local artist who owns it....
It's funny how I ran into this though (yet random), I love the idea of this concept!
