Ugh. I hate it when people do this. Did it ever occur to them that some people can't donate? Also, praying for japan isn't just to make themselves feel better. That pray for Japan stuff raised awareness after all. Raising awareness IS doing something useful. Why can't these people bitch at the morons who only care about the Anime or think japan deserved it?

Wow I am simple minded I only took this as everyone feeling sorry for Japan praying to their personal god(s) (left uncapitalized for I mean no certain deity) for the countries recovery and hope that all the dead are remembered, respected, and sent to (if believed in) an afterlife. The first one is the one I'd go for. Because I do believ in a god to be specific the christan god Jesus Christ. That's my choice. I do believe in the power of praying. That's my choice. You do not. That's your choice. We are both granted that by the first amendmant. Though we should be granted it simply because we are both people. We should value all people the same yet we don't.

I have no problem with Muslims, as long as they have no problem with me. I just take exception to when Christians are mercilessly persecuted, and then the people who persecute the Christians turn right around and roll out a red carpet for the Muslims because it's "forward thinking."

I'm roughly the same way on both points. I judge people based on the image they present for themselves, ie: their words, actions, attitude, ect. I try not to hate, but their are some who make me feel strong dislike.
I don't hate Muslims. I know that the terrorists/extremists are only a minority, and that most are peaceful and considerate (or would be were they not under oppression). I would like to learn more about their culture. I wish the persecutions would stop.

There are people who are complaining because the guy is suggesting we pray for Japan and they're pissed because he didn't use PC words like "Donate" or "Help", which is basically what religious charities do and are almost 100% on site giving aid before any other charity get there.

Ooooh gosh, I had someone ripping about praying for Japan on my tumblr. I was all, hey, where was this complaining back in Haiti? Or Chile? Or the Tsunami a couple years ago? Or Katrina? WHY NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN WHAT THE HECK? But yeah... I can't afford to donate, but I did anyway. I almost never tell people if I'm donating to charity (that whole doing things in secret, plus I feel weird going around being all 'I DONATED MONEY TO CHARITY TODAY LALALA AREN'T I AWESOME), so I didn't tell anyone. Let them think I'm a fool praying to a fairy tale God for all they want, I know the truth, God knows the truth, and in the end, we'll see who's better off.

Apparently, to these guys, if you have 1 dollar for life savings, you have enough to donate. This one troll said he didn't even care about the disaster and had NO INTENTION OF HELPING, yet he was ripping on people for praying because they "didn't care enough to donate", which is odd considering he also said Japan had enough money to pull themselves through this mess.
I tell those trolls: "If you can donate money, do it and shut up. Leave those who pray to the 'imaginary sky god' alone."

Ugh, that's disgusting. I haven't dealt with trolls like that, mostly just with hateful atheists. I have a friend who is an atheistic leaning agnostic, and he doesn't understand the hate perpetuated by those ripping on us for supposedly not donating, so at least he's not being stupid.
