YO HO HO-.. oops, wait let's start again. HO HO HO HO..!! How are you doing mah favorite 'child' Mety? Today Ima your 'mother' Christmas (no Pirate Queen) decided to give you a nice, wrapped up constructive critique as a gift since you've proven to be a nice person this whole year!
I hope you don't mind me critiquing your old piece since this is among what I found when I type "critique" in your gallery, ehm.. and also I happened to favorite this cute piece. Let's start, shall we?
After watching you for a while I think this is one of your best coloring so far: the wholeness of this piece is awesome. There's the harmonious color palette, you didn't forget to add some hue of grey-ish cool blue on the supposedly saturated pink and pastel green as the shadow, matching the background and the whole nuance of winter around. And I love the touch of the snow brush too, I feel the cold already upon looking at this. You did a very nice job in coloring the original line art, BUT personally I wouldn't be surprised if you actually drew this too from scratch since you do have the potential and the drawing style is so very much like yours. (I almost didn't read the whole description, haha..).
I don't know if you're using mouse or a tablet when coloring, but either way I believe you could improve this a bit by adding more detailed shading on the foldings and hair strands. Especially on the foldings, some shadings look like rather bit strayed from the lines or too spreading out. And don't be afraid to try hard-edged brushes instead of only the soft-round one. Experiment more, play more, you'll improve faster.
But again I love this piece already, I think you already got the eye for the sense of colors based on the context, great job Mety, 'mother-Christmas-pirate-queen' is so proud of you!
Meretricious, merry Critmas and YHO-HO-HO-HO..!!

The snow makes it hard to appreciate the colouring and shading of the lady. The color scheme is great, very soft!
I feel you need a lightsource. Here I can't tell where the light comes from: the upper part of her head is darker, some right part of her flowing hair is lit but the wing-bow she has on her back is not... Be resolute about your lightsource and keep it in mind all time.
Also most of the time, to make things more lively, a light outline may help. For instance here, at the bottom, where the fabric makes a wave and we see the reverse/other side, you may enhance the edge of the fabric with a light tone.
See for instance this art of mine where I used a lot this technique (a light line between the lineart and the darkercolor): The Baymax fashion victim
Also remember that light is everywhere, even on the opposite side of your lightsource, but lighter and sometime with a different color (because of "bouncing light": everything that is lit emits light, even the background). For instance a lady standing on a red carpet under a bright lamp will have mainly white light on her head and shoulders, but red glow around her feet, ankles and even legs; and the shade under her skirts shall depend on the skirt color.
I hope this helps, as always
