That's how he was named. "Dai" means abomination, monster, and "ben" means something small, young, childish, in the language of the subterrans, the people of his species.
Well i always wanted to do this so here i go with an oc chart or whatever is called (sorry for shitty english)

Name: DUHHH

Age: more or less than 19 years old (human years)

Gender: Male (but is too used to people geting it wrong)

Species: Subterran. Apparently. They are some kind of mix between human and insect, specially evolved to live underground. They can survive in extreme heat but the radiation of the sun kill them in seconds, so they can`t go to the surfice during the day. Daiben is an exception though. He looks too similar to a human and that's why he was named "little abomination" from the start (he has toes! eww). He is not so well adapted to the underground conditions but can move freely on the surface without risk of suffering a quick but super painful death.

Habilities: Uff. As a subterran he SHOULD have the ability to dig tunnels really quickly, have six insect-like legs plus really strong arms, antennas, excelent hearing, bad sight and strong jaws that can inject poison of some sort...but he sucks at all of it. But, once he knew the surface he discovered some new talents that make him even better than a subterran (or that's what he thinks). Two words. Wind control. But it only works if he is focused. Daiben feels lighter on the surface and is working on his agility and speed. Also he can transform into wind for some seconds, but he can't do it if he is injured. Can cast lightening to wherever he points to but it takes a time (he is not Thor, not yet). If he is really pumped up and focused, is even able to control the weather of an entire area, buuut he will probably pass out after some minutes. Still pretty cool, isn't it?
He is not able of do anything of his wind control without hiding his insect-like legs and jaws first. He is so used to do it that using those features he was born with has become really painful. Maybe he isn't a subterran at all...?

Personality: Literally doesn't know the word "respect". Typical character that prefers animals and plants before people because they suck, etc, etc. Usually in a good mood, which make his wind control more powerfull and dangerous, so, bad news. Playful, curious. Not totally conscious of the harm he can cause to the others, suffers a big and dangerous lack of empathy. Childish.

Sexual orientantion (i have seen that people often include this and i thought this could help to understand the character): Fisically and emotionally unable to feel attraction to anyone. If i am forced to chose a word, i would pick "asexual", but isn't exactly like that.

Story: Oh no. Ok, i wil try to make it short. Is born. Everybody thinks that is something wrong with him and maybe he should be mercyfully killed. Mother defends him thinking he coul change at metamorphosis (what subterrans have instead of puberty). Doesn't happend. Mom tries to kill herself and his deformed son but fails and only kills herself. Survivors guilt. Daiben makes a friend. Friend dies on a """"accident""". Survivors guilt x2. Bad subterrans laugh at Daiben's friend. Daiben gets mad. Daiben hit ugly subterran with a rock. Subterran dies. Daiben has to scape. Daiben discovers tunnel that goes to the surface. Daiben discovers that he can survive under sun's light and radiation. Daiben discovers new powers. Daiben dscovers that surface is 10000 times prettier than underground. Daiben loves the surface. Surface people doesn't. Daiben will defend what he loves. Daiben has problems with authority. The End.

Funny Facts:
-Subterrans barely wear clothes. But Daiben was forced to live with most of his body covered because "he is digusting" (body shaming at its next level)
-Has a fourth pair of insect legs that are partially attached to his stomach and can't use at all.
-That's not his hair. Those are ears. Kinda. Don't cut those.
- Use the expresion "oh well" too much.
- Can be pretty violent
- Ecoterrorist? what's that?
-Eats insects and little animals, like rats and pigeons. Pigeons are delicious.
-Loud noises and closed spaces don't interact.
-Has lots of siblings (from diferent mothers and fathers). Hates them all and it's mutual.
-Daiben is a villian for the story i am thinking for this character

Fire + wind is not a great combo.

TL DR: A half insect guy that sucks at the insect part. Has wind powers instead.
